You're welcome. It was wonderful book...very unique, I thought.

There's also a sequel. The Wicked.

I agree with you about preferring stand-alones. I'm always afraid of being disappointed in any following books. However, I did purchase this sequel and will just keep my fingers crossed that it's as good as the first.
