(Apology - This was a long chapter title - it had to be shortened to label the folder in Goodreads. )

What did you think of this story? I've been to Phoenix once on my way to my friend's family reunion in Sedona (a great occasion for stories.) It sure was hot, nobody went anywhere without a six pack of cold water bottles.

I love how Alexie transitions between the present and the past, Victor's and Thomas's boyhoods. The section about Thomas breaking his arms when he flew, then fell - "One of his dreams came true for just a second, just enough to make it real" - was one of my favorite memories within this story. Telling "stories which can change or not the world. It doesn't matter."
