Bookworm with Kids This is the discussion thread for the Quarterly play Big Maggie.

Colleen | 1205 comments I ordered it from Book Depository yesterday :)

Bookworm with Kids I am finding it hard to get the time to read this play - what I have managed so far is quite good - not laugh-out-loud but humourous.
I am juggling this and Four Princes: Henry VIII, Francis I, Charles V, Suleiman the Magnificent and the Obsessions That Forged Modern Europe so neither of them are very light reads!!

Colleen | 1205 comments As soon as I finish The Fireman I will read this next

Ali (ali909) | 90 comments I read it one evening and quite enjoyed it.
It's very short, and felt a bit unfinished though... I'd expected some more development of the characters.
In fairness to Keane, he managed to build quite a picture of the Irish society of that time. In such a short piece he addressed some serious matters. all in quite humorous way.
