So we all know that we get the best books from other people's recommendations, so, what are you reading and tell us your thoughts and your predicted rating for the novel.

I'm currently reading Wintergirls! I didn't come far yet, but so far it's... interesting... different from what I've expected. Depending on the rest, I might give it four or three stars, but I do want to read more from Laurie Halse Anderson.
- pretty good so far but at times the dialog feels a little off.
- probably a 5 star!
- the free download from YA Sync a week or two ago and it will most definitely be a five star.
@connie I have read the first two vampire academy books and they are really good although I liked the second one better because it was more mysterious and action packed! my friend has read the whole series and said they get better as the books go on
@Tori I've heard the same thing, that the books get progressively better. Which is great, because I already really like the first one! Have you seen the movie?
Tori wrote: "@connie I haven't but is it good? (:"A lot of people who read the book seemed to dislike the movie. I haven't read the books yet, but I liked it more than I would've thought.
Currently I'm trying to read An Abundance of Katherines by John Green but I haven't heard the greatest reviews on it so I'm slow to start it haha
Lyn wrote: "I'm about 50 pages in to Clockwork Prince :)"Yay I love The Infernal Devices! In my opinion Prince is a lot better than Angel ^_^ enjoy :)
Tori wrote: "@connie I haven't but is it good? (:"Now that I'm reading the book, I can definitely see that they've changed things. However, since I was able to watch the movie without any previous influence, I quite enjoyed it. Zoey Deutch did a great job as Rose, and the humor was definitely all there. My only complaint is a little cheesiness as Rose explains the Moroi world (but that's to be expected) and the special effects weren't the best.

it's good so fsr :) very intresting. I usually don't read this kind of books but after TFIOS I kind of decided to try some more non-fantasy :P
I'm currently reading The Taking by Kimberly Derting and well, I'm half way to it but since I read it in this bookstore where you can read while you're not doing anything. I didn't buy it though but I did end up reading it and now I'm half way to the end. -Jenn
I'm currently reading Where She Went because I have finally finished If I Stay. It's fine but I'm not really over the first book yet.

It's a mournful novel. From Mia's story to... well, everything, I guess? It's so beautiful quite irritating for some parts.Hazel
I read If I Stay and I loved it and I tried to read Where She Went but it was too hard to get into it when I still was stuck in the last book.I will give it a try again soon, tho' ^^

I know what you mean about getting into Where She Went a little difficult but it was amazing. <3

Well, I'm not reading anything at the moment but in about 3 days or so, I'm going to the bookstore and I will be getting Please Ignore Vera Deitz by A.S King. It sounds really good :)

I love it! I'm trying to read slowly to make the book last XD
Ooohh, The Book Thief! <3 I've been planning to read it soon but haven't got the time too; I keep on thinking to just read it next time. Are you half way through the book? :)-Jenn

You definitely should pick The Book Thief up sometime! I'm not always a big fan of historical fiction, but this book is great. ;)
GUYS! I'm in a HUGE reading slump at the moment! And nothing seems to be appealing (I blame Anna & The French Kiss) and I really want to get out of it because this month has been a good reading month so far, except for the fact that I still haven't chosen a book to read and it's been 2 days! I can't take it anymore! Do any of you guys have suggestions?
@Natasha Maybe you could try one of those really funny British teen-girl novels? I know that when I'm in a reading slump, some humor does the trick. You could try Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (there's a whole lot of novels with the similar vibe); I haven't read it yet, but from what I got from the excerpts I read, it was pretty funny :)Or get something you definitely know will be easy to read and also interest you. Or maybe one of those blogs-turned-into-books things, like Alice in Tumblr-land or Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened (I would probably read the latter; the blog was hilarious).
I hope I helped. I don't recommend books individually often :]
Aw, reading slumps are the worst, Natasha. Usually I'd recommend a cute contemporary, but I think that's what Anna and the French Kiss was xDPerhaps you could try
. The main character loves books, and the story is easy to follow along with. There's a paranormal element, but the first book is actually mostly just romance, haha. It's a fun, entertaining read!
Still reading
, can't seem to get into it as much as I loved the first book. And now I'm starting to read
.
I know it is a kids book but it is pretty good this is third one in the series it is good to read between big books
