Doctor Who: The Library of Carsus discussion

The people who do the episode restorations have announced they are doing Shada.
They have collected all the existing footage and both Tom and Lalla have signed on to do new audio.

Very cool.

At least American release has been. There's some indication that BBC America might want to air it on TV first or else there might be another one off cinema screening (ala Power Of The Daleks last year). So who knows?

On the other hand, isn't this about the eighth time Shada has been "finished"?

Third that I can think of.

I'm in no rush, as I'm in the middle of a huge Doctor Who rematch, starting at the very beginning and won't get to the Baker years for months.

Fair enough. I think I'm getting annoyed with its status as a "lost story" and every version touting to "complete the story for the first time" when it has in face been completed multiple times now.

I, for one, would like to see them animate the truly lost episodes of the 60s as well as some of the introduced ones that came out in book form in the Target line.

I agree, I'd love to see Marco Polo and The Highlanders in animated versions (just to pick out a couple by name).

The reconstructions seem to be well received, so I'm hopeful we will eventually be able to watch every story.
