Has anyone read The Emperors Edge series by Lindsay Buroker?

I would tentatively suggest Rachel Aaron/Rachel Bach (same person different pseudonym)
I have always felt that Lindsay Buroker was good but in a weird spot of having a lot of romance elements in her novels yet still being sci-fi/fantasy and not going down Urban Smut land.
YA tends to cater towards this market a good bit better but I struggle a bit because this isn't really my wheelhouse.
You may like Daughter of the Forest. The one that sounds very like this is actually the second book in the series, Son of the Shadows, but without the first book as set up, a lot of the great moments would be missed.
People really enjoy Moon Called for a similar reason. I thought it was just okay, but it was fun, and did have spunky heroines and tough heroes. Ditto Rosemary and Rue.
Highly recommend Sunshine, and basically all books by Robin McKinley!

I'm a huge fan of Lindsay Buroker ever since picking up the Emperor's Edge for free. I've read just about everything she's published now.
She also writes more steamy romance (more explicit sex) under the pen name Ruby Lionsdrake. I've only read one of those books and found that the story wasn't as detailed and perhaps suffered for the more intense focus on the romance over the adventure part, but I would still read more books in that series.
As for non-Lindsay Buroker books similar to the Emperor's Edge series, I greatly enjoyed Patrick Weekes' trilogy that starts with The Palace Job. Main character is female with a diverse cast of supporting characters.

Just to give you an idea of what I enjoy, I also love The Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo and, although not really similar to the others I also enjoyed The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater as it had wonderfully engaging characters.
Even though the books I am listing are YA, I am not against books of a more adult nature at all. I read everything from ya to erotica....so any recommendations are fine with me. :)
