Hey everyone! This month grab something light, frothy and funny..pick a so-called "beach read"! I've already plowed through mine - the 21st in the Stephanie Plum series. I read it in about 3 hours total..and as always, it was great fun.

Michelle "Champ" (michellechampion) | 73 comments I'll have to check this out. ThAnks, I was looking for something lite and fun.

Michelle "Champ" (michellechampion) | 73 comments I found something lite and fun, "Ms America and the offing on Oahu" sounds like a perfect murder at the beach kind of read.

Kelly Veatch | 11 comments I'm almost done with Mark Kay Andrews's latest, Save the Date. It's romantic comedy and just a cute little love story perfect for the pool or beach!

Brittney Washam | 3 comments I just finished "Death Comes to Pemberley," which is like a murder-mystery sequel to "Pride and Prejudice." It was interesting, as far as mysteries go, but P.D. James sadly didn't capture the characters in the same wonderful personalities that were originally written by Jane Austen.

I'm also currently reading "Grapes of Wrath," because I want to audition for the Market House production of it this fall. And apparently I didn't really think it through when I was planning my next couple of reads. These two are certainly NOT light and fun beach reads. Oops!

Melissa (melissapurls) | 38 comments I've had new books coming out my ears lately. Just finished "The Life List" by Lori Nelson Spielman. It was sweet and funny and a little cliche, but not bad.

I'm trying to decide what to read next. I have plenty to choose from, but nothing is really jumping out saying ME ME like usual. In the meantime I'll start on the latest in Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series.

Michelle "Champ" (michellechampion) | 73 comments Have you read "If I stay" by Gayle Forman? I just finished it. It was very short, but I enjoyed it. I am on a waiting list for the sequel.

Brittney Washam | 3 comments That's on my reading list I believe. So it's worth the read?

Is If I Stay sad? I can't do sad. It sounds sad. I did hear it was a really good book though

Michelle "Champ" (michellechampion) | 73 comments Well now, then mark that off your list. Yes, it's pretty sad. It is very visual. I like the way it was written, but yes, it's sad.
