However I am not sure if the profiles in question are all this author, as I went only by the looks of the name, not with researching or knowing more. Below are the profiles in question. I need help in clarifying if they are all the same author, and if so which name to keep according to goodreads guidelines.

Shri Adi Shankaracharya

and there is this strange one which seem to belong to them somehow as well Adi Shankaracharya's Spirit

Could be that there are more variants of the name as well. If there is someone who can solve this you are welcome to do so.

I'm no help with Indian languages or authors, but I have seen similar errors before with Japanese author names using non-ASCII characters (such as ō). Sometimes these were imported as spaces.

For example, "Śaṅkarācārya" is the author on one of the covers, but it has ended up as "A kar c rya" because only the letters without diacritics were retained and the diacritics were replaced with spaces. I would think it would be safe to merge authors "A Kar C Rya" and "A Kar C Rya A Kar C Rya" with "Sankaracharya" or change them to ""Śaṅkarācārya" if you want to match the exact orthography on the covers.

Hi, I am acquainted with Indian authors.
I went through all the author page links provided in the first post. All the works in these pages are by the same author - 'Adi Sankaracharya'. The only exception is the one by 'Adi Sankaracharya's spirit'. I never heard of this work and I didn't find any references to such work by Adi Sankaracharya.

So...

Should we change all the books in the author profiles to author Adi Shankara?

The second one in this link, Hastamalakiyam, is a consolidated version of Adi Sankara's vedanta and written by his disciple.

I combined the profiles from my first post with Adi Shankara except the one for the spirit, I left it as is.
