Dying to see your first review of a random miscellany!Looks good. I particularly look forward to 100 word theatre reviews. I think you did one (or maybe more) on your old website?
Thank you. Yes, I did do several theatre reviews in that style. It's a good way of getting to the heart of things in a small space.New review just added for Message in a Bottle. :)
Love your blog (great idea) and your wonderful review of Two Boys Kissing. I'm adding it to my To Read List now. Thx!
Thanks, Jud and Stephanie. Sorry for the late reply. I'll be honest; I forgot I'd started this thread and just found it when I planned to start a new thread for this!! So, a bunch of reviews have gone up in the mean time and I have plenty more planned.
Catch up at www.100wordreviews.com with reviews so diverse they cover Pride, The Inbetweeners, Under the Skin, Collabro and the latest West End shows.

My latest 100 word review is the film Gone Girl, which is now one of my films of the year: http://www.100wordreviews.com/blog/go...
I expected to and didn't! I know that a book and its film don't always seem like the same beast, though.
Usually the film doesn't come close to the book. I can't say in this case, having not read the book, but it's a darn good standalone movie.Just finished reading the superb 'Chickens' by Julie McLaren. Review now up:

Jonathan, Gravity's review is a good one! (And it's a neat idea - I don't know how some people go on and on and on over Amazon eulogizing why they have liked a romance novel or memoir - who has time for lengthy reviews?!)
You did not mention the crucial part background music played in the film, but whatever - to each his own. Best of luck!
Did Kidman's face move in 'Before I go to sleep'? It's hard to watch her nowadays.
Do 'guardian of the galaxy' next. :)
Thanks for taking a look. It's true I omitted the music. Or rather the word limit forced me to omit it. I've made a note to listen to the soundtrack on Spotify. Great soundtrack!Haha. Kidman gets some stick, doesn't she? Her face may have twitched now and again. I actually don't mind watching her. She's sensational in Dogville.
Thanks for visiting the blog :)
New reviews include comedian Henning Wehn, Joseph (the musical) and new Mike Leigh film 'Mr Turner'.http://www.100wordreviews.com
Yup Jonathan read it, nice. My brother and I are huge horror film fans and have been meaning to see Tusk, Ouija, Babadook and Jessabelle.
Just posted a couple of new reviews, one for a cosy Christmassy book and another for one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen!www.100wordreviews.com
The latest reviews are for Because She Loves Me and the DVD release of Billy Elliot: the musical.www.100wordreviews.com
Watched The Theory of Everything last night. Marvellous! I have to say that, for me, the very good Imitation Game pales in comparison.http://www.100wordreviews.com/blog/th...

cool Jonathan. And what a way to sum it up: 'Haynes is the new King' ! (if that doesn't get people interested in his book I'll b surprised!)
