My husband and I just started a publishing company that offers affordable freelance editing. It's called Wicklit Publishing House (Wicklit for short). We have opened up our editing processes for authors.

Both my husband and I are available for edits. My husband, Joseph, has had 3 published short stories, and has worked-on/edited several novels in the past 4 years. He has also been working as a technical writer for the past 3 years.

My experience includes having a self-published novel, a published poem, and a short story that earned second place in the Roy F. Powell Award. For the past 4 years, I've been a proofreader and document specialist. I have also worked on/edited several novels in the last several years.

Sounds interesting. I got a self published book out there and one about to be self published (If I can't get my computer to work right) and another (book 2 of the one about to be self published) in the works that I'm writing.

That's the good part about it. Our editing side of the company does not require you to publish through us. Just a fee for our services, which depends on the length of work. So if you prefer a self-publishing route and just need an in depth edit that isn't too expensive, we can work with you.

I may do just that with book 2. Of course it's no where near done. I'm like barely starting writing it down.
