The South Beach has the most perspiration, it gets constant rain and the climate is strangely hotter. It also has more plants than the other beaches, because of the heavy rain flow it is the easiest beach to find fresh water on. The sand has a darker shade too it but most parts towards the forest are muddy and have hidden sink holes. The beach doesn't have much land dwelling wildlife but the fish seem to enjoy this part of the island the most

Nick's head pounded as he started to gain consciousness, reality slowly seeping in. He didn't want to open his eyes, the event almost like a dream playing in his mind. What happened exactly? The plane... something about turbulence. He'd been on plenty of planes before, so he wasn't really worried about it... but then it all sort of went down, literally. The plane took a dive. His eyes finally shot open as he realized what happened. The plane his girlfriend and himself were on, back to their hometown, had crashed. Was he dead then? No, there was sand all around him. He was on his stomach. He was wet, and he couldn't feel his feet. He tried to get up, only managing in his sore state to get up on his elbows. He looked over his shoulder to find he was half in the water, waves washing over his legs. As he turned his body and tried to sit up once again, he felt a sharp pain in his side, and he had to bite back a scream. Looking down, he found a small shard of glass, probably from the window, was lodged in his side, just below his ribs. He hissed and reached down to pull it out, but it seemed pretty stuck. He focused instead on getting his bottom half out of the water, slowly pulling himself back onto the beach. Dark clouds above him suggested rain, but luckily there wasn't any yet. After a quick inspection of himself, he found he didn't have any broken bones, but then again, as he started to be able to feel his feet again, he may have had anywhere from a twisted to a broken ankle. Many scrapes and forming bruises were covering his arms and legs, but that wasn't his main concern. Roslyn... she was on that flight with him. She was so excited about going on this vacation, and now... the time spent there meant nothing. Where was she? He looked around, desperately searching for her, but unable to really move at this point.

((Sorry if this is long or not long enough-))

((Finally back >.< Sorry :( ))

Roslyn was lying a little closer to the trees, slide marks in the sand to show how she’d been tossed from the plane and into the sand harshly. The sand in those slide marks was tinted slightly red, but not nearly as red as her jeans were getting. There was a deep gash in her thigh that had been caused by a ripped piece of metal she’d hit when she’d gotten sucked out of the plane. Slowly, the girl gained consciousness, her hands gripping at anything she could reach. A soft groan escaped her lips, her voice raspy and a bit of blood dripping from one of her nostrils. The first thought that came to her groggy mind - Where was Nick? Was he okay? Squirming slightly, she moved her hands underneath herself so that she could try and get up. Though to her surprise, her leg gave way beneath her the moment she even put a fraction of weight on it. A loud yelp escaped her lips, and she collapsed into the sand once more. This time, on her butt. Looking around, she finally spotted Nick and called out to him, her eyes flooding with tears even at the sight of him hurt. Her face and arms had several small cuts on them, just like him. Though she just hissed at the pain searing through her leg, desperate to reach her beloved. “Nick!” She called out again, deciding to push herself to get to him. She got onto her stomach, pulling herself over to him with her arms. After the longest five minutes of her life, she was sweating and bloody when she finally reached him. She ended up pulling him down next to her, crawling to his side as she winced from the pain. “Nick... I...” She couldn’t even manage words, her eyes already forming tears. He looked like he was in so much pain... He didn’t deserve this. Nobody did. She caressed his cheek slowly, as if she was trying to memorise what he felt like. “I’m so sorry.” She finally murmured, not knowing what to do about the glass lodged in his side. She wanted to help desperately, but she was scared she’d make it worse.

(Apologies for not replying to this right away. I normally would have, but musical theater camp is taking up majority of my day, and when I get home, I'm totally wiped. But I'll try to reply within the next three hours or so.)

(Oh, I’m so sorry >.< It’s totally fine, I just didn’t know what was going on! So take your time :) No worries >.< )

Nick heard her call before he saw her. It seemed his vision was blurry and out of focus, and when he finally spotted her moving figure, he couldn't help the breath of relief that she was alive. His voice was raspy and he couldn't much speak right now above a whisper. He knew he couldn't move, as well, so he let her come to him, as much as it pained him to see her have to struggle. As she made it to him, he gave a smile, trying and failing to mask the pain the shift in muscles caused when she pulled him down. He bit his lip to keep himself from letting out a whine, lifting his arm to grab the hand caressing his cheek. "We're both soaked, huh?" he tried to joke in a hoarse whisper, but it was obvious he was just keeping from crying. He was more than overjoyed his Rose was alive, and while they obviously were both hurt badly, he felt like he could pull through that pain if it meant he needed to help her stay alive.

Moving despite the pain it caused him, Nick pushed himself with a sharp inhale onto a shaky arm, his other still busy with his hand holding Roslyn's. He clenched a fistful of wet sand, gritting his teeth, then through some strength, probably caused more by adrenalin than anything else, he managed to move his legs, gaining the blood flow back into them. They were able to push majority of his weight up, although his right ankle didn't exactly like the pressure. He managed, and it wasn't broken to his relief. The hand that had been clenching sand let it go, and came to touch the glass on his side, which has a slow but steady stream of blood flowing from the edges where it met his skin. He knew pulling it out now was no good, as the gash it would leave would need immediate attention. Looking around there were a few bodies scattered, but it seemed like smoke, likely the plane, as coming from a little ways off. He looked back down at Roslyn, that happiness flooding over him again. He wasn't sure where they'd go, what they'd do here, but making it seemed like a good plan. He squeezed her hand, then knelt down as best he could, looking her over and spotting that awful looking cut in her leg. He did what all of those survivor shows had shown him and ripped his shirt, a piece for pad again the wound and a long enough strip to tie around her leg. He found it was surprisingly difficult, despite it's already torn state. "... I'm sorry if I'm being quiet... what does one say after they crash land in a plane?" he asked jokingly with a half smile, beginning to tend to her wound as much as he could.

Roslyn watched him intently from her place on the ground as he managed to get up, just happy to see him alive. Her heart fluttered when he tore off a piece of his shirt, just barely seeing a glimpse of his body. Hey, even if they’d just almost gotten killed in a plane crash, his perfection never failed to enthral her. The sharp pain in her thigh brought her out of those thoughts, hissing slightly as she propped herself up on two arms. “I-It’s fine. I just wanted to say one thing anyways.” She murmured painfully, deciding not to even look down at her blood-soaked jeans. Her other clothes were soaked from the warm saltwater that they’d both managed to fall into previously.

She pulled his hands away from her leg, wrapping his arms around herself. She did the same to him as best she could without falling onto her back, kissing his cheek lovingly. “I’m so glad you’re alive, and I love you.” She whispered meaningfully. After several minutes of the soft breeze whipping over their bodies, she pulled away from their embrace. “There. I just felt like I needed to say that.” She murmured, blushing despite the situation. “You don’t have to do this you know. You should be taking care of yourself.” She murmured, pointing worriedly at the glass lodged into his side. What if it got infected? A soft whine escaped her lips as she looked up at him, her eyes pleading. After falling out of a plane and nearly breaking her leg, all she could think about was him. Why did he have to go through this? Nick never did anything wrong, he was pure perfection in her eyes and could do no harm to anyone. A sudden painful sensation shot up her leg as a cold and hard raindrop fell from the sky and onto her wound. She yelped once more, immediately clutching it with bloody hands. “You always take care of me. I want to help you in some way but I don’t know how I can...” She sighed, clutching at her leg with gritted teeth. More and more water started to fall from the sky that had been already cloudy and overcast. Great. Just what we needed. She thought, feeling bitter towards the rain that soaked them both even more. Thunder rumbled through the sky, her skin getting cold already at the icy drops of rain fell onto her and Nick.

Nicholas wasn't exactly surprised when she wrapped his arms around her, but he was at least taken slightly off guard. However, he wasted no time in tightening his hold on her, burying his face into her neck and smiling. His eyes closed at her words. He let the silence roll over them until she pulled away. Opening his eyes, he looked at her, then leaned in to gentle place a kiss on her forehead, brushing hair away from her face. "I love you too, and I'm glad the both of us are alive."

He knew she was talking about the shard in his side, but really, right now all Nick could think about was getting his rose to safety. He shook his head and gave her a smile, masking the pain he felt. "I'll be fine for now. It'll only be worse if I try to pull it out without something prepared to stop the bleeding anyway." He pet her hair and winced as one of the raindrops fell onto his head. Well damn, they'd need to find cover, and find it fast. The rain was cold and hard and it would be hell to try and sit it out, that much was for sure. This was all just one big disaster, and Roslyn didn't deserve any of it. He hated this. Hated the fact that their nice vacation was completely ruined, that their parents would probably be worried sick. He couldn't even tell what time it was. His phone was gone from his pockets and surely somewhere in the great blue ocean. He wondered if news of the missing plane would be to the world yet. Where were they anyway? As it rained harder, Nick put his arms under Roslyn's knees and upper back, making to stand and pick her up. A shooting pain centered around that shard was sent throughout his body, and he tried hard not to fall straight to his knees. He let out a pained whine, but he was not the only one here who needed help. He hissed through his teeth, standing up the full way, despite the pressure it put on his ankle and the pain it caused his side. "We n-need to find shelter..." He stated it aloud, but it was almost like he was addressing himself, and not the girl he loved in his arms.

(Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! I didn’t get a notification >.<)

Roslyn’s eyes widened as he started to pick her up, “Nick... You can’t do this. I-I won’t let you hurt yourself for me. Look, I can hop on one leg, okay?” She told him, climbing out of his arms only to land on her butt in the sand. The rain started to pelt down on them, soaking the ripped piece of shirt that was wrapped around her thigh. It was quickly turning a shade of pink, blood seeping through it effortlessly. Needless to say, she wasn’t doing as good as she could’ve been, but Nick was her top priority. Struggling to get up, she grudgingly pushed herself onto one leg, wincing in pain as she tried to hold up the other one. “C-Come on... Lean on me if you need to.” She told him, grabbing his hand as her hair and clothes began to get soaked. It was beginning to get a little difficult to blink the water out of her eyes every few seconds, but she was determined to at least make it into the forest. “Once we get past the t-treeline, we’ll stop, okay?” She told him, squeezing his hand gently. Her teeth were gritted in pain, but she would never put herself before Nick. He needed to let her take care of that shard as soon as possible, because even if they were both bleeding out quite badly, she wanted to tend to him first. Her mother was a nurse and she’d let Roslyn come with her a lot because she was too young to be home alone with Liam. Just that thought of Liam made her heart ache, since her baby brother would be crying all night wondering where his big sister was to sing him to sleep. Her mother would be worried sick, and she knew for a fact that she’d stop at nothing to find her lost daughter. She’d already lost her husband, and she definitely wasn’t going to lose her baby girl. Meanwhile, with brown eyes clouded with worry, she clutched Nick’s hand and balanced on one leg, blood trickling down the other. “We can do t-this.” She promised him, determined despite the conditions.

((oAo I didn't either- sorry if this is short.))

Nick wanted to put his foot down and tell Roslyn that no, she couldn't just pass this off and not let him take care of her, but he was too exhausted to really try. He sighed and gave in, bringing her hand up to his lips to give the back a kiss. "You should be the one leaning on me, goof..." He smiled a crooked smile, but he really just wanted to cry. It pained him to see her trying to be strong and push through it simply because he was hurt himself. Sure, he needed some immediate attention, but so did she, and she was being stubborn. His free hand went to touch the shard in his side. Luckily, it wasn't in a place that prevented him from walking, although he was sure walking was going to be a pain. He wanted to accept her promise, and part of him really believed it, but the other part of him hoped that if they were to die from blood loss and hypothermia stranded on this island, he wanted to be smiling and happy the whole time so that her last memory of him would be his feelings when he's with her, not pain and agony. "Alright, let's go." He let go of Roslyn's hand and wrapped his arm around her side, helping her to walk on one leg. They headed toward the end of the beach, where tree debris laid about on the sand from the trees that formed almost like a perfect wall separating the forest and the beach.
