Roses are red, violets are blue.
I am writing this from me, to you.
What you must see,
is what it must be,
as it is already in front of you and me.

May want to combine my message 1 and the replies on 4 and 18.

Also, this will be a combo type of challenge. Not necessarily a "You pick" one of the categories, but a bit of that and a bit of the other types of challenges I really.... really... like. :3

message 21: by Alissa (new)

Alissa Patrick (apatrick12211) so.... a futuristic half mirror/ half computer with flowers challenge ??? lol

message 22: by Sainabou (new)

Sainabou Lmaooo

message 24: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (spirolim) | 118 comments Does it involve the internet? Book clubs? Online book groups?!

message 25: by Rach , Moderator (new)

Rach (rsjreads) | 2955 comments Mod
Lisa is getting warmer ;-)

message 26: by Dewlanna (new)

Dewlanna | 111 comments So computer and book club... Generate a random number on the computer and pick the book whose number it is off a friend list ?

Don't know where the mirror and flower would fit in tough! Except if you did add a photographic twist where you also have to take a photo of yourself with the book and flower in your hair :p

Well, if I don't come up with the answer, at least I come up with suggestions. That's good, because I doubt I will solve your riddle :p

Well another guess....
An online friendship/romance ? Or with a machine (cyborg or android) ?

You have guessed, and guessed, and guessed.
And now it is time for the big reveal.

The August Challenge is

The Mix Matched Post.

For August 2014, it is your job to sift through the past 2014 challenges that are as follows:

Look at the posts, check out the books that are in there and read them. You then have two options:

A) Did you personally complete the challenge? If you didn't now is your chance to go back and complete the books you didn't get to.

B) If you have completed them all or didn't participate, or just want to choose this option, you may look at the posts and sift through them deciding what books to read for this challenge.

The rules are as follows.

1.You may only pick ONE book from each past challenge. It cannot be covering multiple challenges.
2. It cannot be form your own posting in that particular challenge.
3. July is not included in this challenge. You may not pick a book form that post.

Here are the past challenges:

January: Biographies- Well they are the bios and autobios the members picked!

February: Sequel Smequel- Books from lists that are WITHOUT sequels

March: You and Me Challenge- Books from the lists that are off other members TBR shelves

April: Spring Cleaning- Books from lists that are either off a real shelf or a computerized one that members were trying to "clean off"

May: Bad to the Bone- Books from lists that are banned books

June: Singular- Books from lists that are singular in the title

I have attached links to all the above challenges, just click on the months and it will take you directly there! Otherwise, navigate through the folders and find the "Old Challenges" where they are all housed as well.

Have fun! :)

message 39: by Phrynne (last edited Jul 23, 2014 08:48PM) (new)

Phrynne I'll choose option B and try to read a book from each challenge.

message 40: by Becky (new)

Becky I'll do option B since I only participated in June's challenge.
Will post in the August challenge link when you post it.

message 41: by Dewlanna (new)

Dewlanna | 111 comments Sorry, I'm not sure I did understand correctly (too dead tired today), so just to clarify, do we
- basically do the challenges as they were posted choosing any book we wish
- or choose a book someone read for one of these challenges ?
Thx!

March:Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
April: Lucky by Alice Sebold
May: 1984 by George Orwell

You choose the books from the list :)

So when you open whatever challenge, you must choose a book that was already posted about by someone other than yourself :)

message 46: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 90 comments I want to try this...I'll have to check back in later and look at the lists. :)
