What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

It was a fairly chaste book my grandparents had in their bookshelves (I read it over twenty years ago). I remember they went for a ride on his bike and had a kiss. I thought it was the ultimate romance at the time and couldn't believe my grandparents had it. Over time it has gone missing and I would really love to find out the title and author.

If so, the Southall might be a possibility.

It doesn't look like it was that. The story was from the girls point of view. It was read in Australia, but I'm not sure it was Australian.
