Autumn walked around the mall, sipping out of a Starbucks through a straw. In all truthfulness, she had laced it with vodka, a combination she loved

Granger Danger | 405 comments Finn walked around the mall on her own. Her brother really pissed her off. He was always hovering over her like a helicopter. She really wanted to change schools but her dad didnt allow it. If only Stephan had something else on his mind he would leave her alone. As she was walking she saw a girl that looked familiar. Thats right! Thats Autumn the girl that goes to her school! Finn marched up to her. "Hey, whats up?"

Autumn looked up, a surprised 'o' forming on her perfectly painted red lips. She honestly hadn't expected to see anyone else from school here. "Hey" she replied with a coy smile, her french accent profound. "You're Finn, right?" she asked

Granger Danger | 405 comments "Yep thats me," she smiled. She had an idea. She knew Autumn was the girl that nearly every boy wanted and she had a plan. "Is that vodka in your drink," she said smiling cheekily.

Autumn grinned, "But of course, darling" she quipped back, "Would you like a sip? It's delish." She tucked one strand of flowing black hair behind a tiny ear. All of her features were very petite, aside from her large green eyes and large breasts. It was almost doll-like how tiny she was

Damien wasn't too much of a mall person. He had his limits to being surrounded by vasts amounts of people, especially people he didn't know. It was okay for parties; it was okay for school dances; it was okay for band gigs. But anywhere else? Bothersome. However, after Caleb had given them the okay on their set list and put his focus more on squashing whatever nonexistent thing was going on between Aurora and Tyson-- they'd all been let go. Not wanting to go home and really seeing no other options, the boy had found himself wandering around the mall and doing his best to avoid other people at all cost.

Why had he read the new Gossip Girl post? Honestly, what did he even think would benefit from it? There was no real reason why Damien followed it much like everyone else did. Maybe it was for entertainment, he really didn't know. But today he didn't find the least bit humour in it. And it wasn't simply because it was about two of his best friends. No, he was in too much of a selfish mood for that.

His feelings were coming to the surface far too much for his liking. And it was leaving him confused. And far more jealous than he'd ever like to admit. And overall-- he was angry with himself. Wandering into the overly lavish food court, Damien took a seat at a random table and pulled out his iPod; placed his earbuds in his ears and put on the playlist of songs the band would be performing. "Now all I have to do is not think," he murmured to himself, hoping that he wouldn't be spotted by anyone he knew.

message 23: by Shannyn (last edited Jul 25, 2014 03:55PM) (new)

Shannyn Colette had been quite pleased with herself. She always knew that if she read Jane Austen's Emma enough, her ability to make a wonderful match would soon flourish. The latest Gossip Girl post had just sealed the deal. She knew that the site posted all sorts of random accusations but even so, they did have always had some truth to them. Even if Aurora and Tyson weren't much of anything (yet), Colette took a little pride in knowing she had persuaded the redhead to act.

So in honor of her very small part in the making of a maybe couple, Colette went to the one place she knew she would always be welcomed: the mall. She loved the throes of people, and the sales assistants who were paid to tell her she looked great. She loved flirting across the room with a stranger just using her eyes and a smile with enough "je ne sais quoi", and of course, she loved being seen.

She decided that her victory celebration should begin with a Pressed Juice. Coconut Cinnamon to be exact. So she strolled toward the food court, paid for her drink, and spotted Damien Caine (whom she always found rather intriguing...).

She tilted her head to the side, curls swinging with her movements, and approached his table. "Well, well, well. Fancy seeing you here, Damien."

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
With heavy drum beats and an even heavier bass line pulsing through his ears, Damien actually found some shred of peace in the food court. Which was more than a bit unusual for him. His eyes would wander here and there, watching as various people passed by; catching the eye of more than a few girls here and there. It was all enough to keep his mind away from-- that for the time being. Though...he really couldn't help checking his phone every now and then. If she was texting him while with someone else, that would have to mean something-- right?

Now that that thought had invaded his mind, Damien felt as if he had slipped back to square one and groaned. He slouched down in his seat with a frown now etched in between his brows. This was proving to be much harder than it needed to be. His fingers tapped in sync with the drum beats, humming along just beneath his breath.

He had just made the decision to leave the food court and head towards the mall's music store-- Only to have his gaze land on a somewhat familiar face. Now, he wasn't all that familiar with Colette on a personal level but that didn't mean he didn't know her (or that he didn't find her worth more than just a few seconds of his time).

Removing both earbuds from his ears, Damien looked up at the girl with the faintest smile on his lips, a chuckle sounding in his throat. "Well then, if it isn't Miss Beaumont. Fancy seeing you as well."

message 25: by Shannyn (new)

Shannyn "Cute," Colette said, sitting down. "Do you mind if I sit? I have a couple questions." She adjusted her red coat on the seat, smoothing it down and spreading it out to perfection.

She knew Damien was well acquainted with Aurora and she needed the inside scoop on her relationship with Tyson. "Okay. First question. Has Aurora always had a...thing for Tyson?"

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
The urge to make some cocky comment was strong. But seeing as Damien was currently in the middle of some emotional crisis, he let it slide this one time. "Do I mind having a gorgeous girl sit and talk with me? Not at all," he was able to respond with that at least. He slid his iPod back into his pocket, deciding to give the girl his full attention.

And then he practically choked on air when the question was finally thrown his way. Knitting his brows together with slight caution, Damien sat back in his seat and leveled Colette with a curious look. "Uh...As far as I know, she never even acknowledged his existence until his party. Why do you ask?"

message 27: by Shannyn (new)

Shannyn Colette paused for a moment pondering whether or not she should tell him. She thought not.

"No reason," she said waving it off. "I guess the Gossip Girl post just made me wonder... and I though I saw her draw a sketch of him, but it could have been someone else." Then something popped into her pretty little head. She gave him a sly smile and leaned in a little. "Why? Did you have a thing for her?"

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
Damien wasn't exactly uncomfortable with the conversation seeing as he and Aurora were close but-- This whole Gossip Girl situation was getting far too out of hand. And he didn't even want to think about how Caleb would react if he heard about this.

"Wait wait," he jumped in before Colette could move on, the crease between his brows still in place. "What do you mean she was doing a sketch of him?" He knew Aurora too well. There had never been a time in their years of knowing each other where Aurora drew someone she barely even knew; someone that wasn't standing right in front of her during her art classes. But that didn't mean-- it couldn't mean. The next question, however, was enough to draw Damien's attention away from that thought. "Please, she's like a little sister to me. I just don't want her gettin' hurt."

message 29: by Shannyn (new)

Shannyn Colette smiled. "That is sweet. I doubt my real brother would ever say that." She crossed her legs and looked at Damien for a minute. Aurora was lucky to have such good friends. People that truly care for her. It was nice to have her parents and sometimes Etienne, but she was lacking in the friends department.

"Do you think Tyson would hurt her? I know he has quite the reputation, but I've seen them talking at school. Briefly, of course, but he seemed genuinely kind to her. But if he is still who everyone says he is, then I can try to pull them apart."

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
With a slightly awkward expression now on his face, Damien rubbed at the back of his neck. It wasn't often he said things quite so affectionate and sentimental about other people. Just then his phone went off, drawing his full attention for as long as it took to read and reply to it. Setting it back off to the side, the boy really had to wonder why Colette was even asking him all of this. She was friends with Aurora too after all, right? But I guess it was nice to have differing opinions-- though the reason why she would need them escaped him.

Damien took several seconds to actually think of the question. Of course he wanted to say yes right off the bat; knowing Tyson's reputation well along with all tidbits about what he'd done to Reese. But in all honesty? "I don't know the guy that well. I know he's hurt a friend of mine in the past though, but no tellin' if he'd hurt Aurora. But that doesn't mean we're not all cautious about her bein' around him, ya know?"

message 31: by Shannyn (last edited Aug 08, 2014 09:54AM) (new)

Shannyn ((woah I am so sorry! I have been on vacation and I didn't have that much access to a computer!))

Colette nodded. "I understand," she said. So maybe her plan wouldn't work all that well... but she would still try. At the dance, she would see the match in motion and observe how things were going. If they were headed downhill, she decided she might tell Damien about her small hand in pushing them together. Which reminded her... "Oh, one more thing: Are you going to the dance?"

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
(view spoiler)

Now, Damien wasn't one to really be all that interested in other people. He made friends, of course, but initially it took a lot for him to be-- fascinated by others. Having known of Colette, and having various classes with her, he had to admit she was a rather intriguing girl. The boy could tell she had nothing but good intentions when it came to their mutual friend. Still...the whole idea of Aurora simply being within five-hundred feet of Tyson was bothersome to say the least. Damien was distracted by this idea, brows knitting together in obvious frustration when Colette's voice cut through his thoughts. Blinking several times, Damien stared at her for a few beats before answering, "Yeah, my bands playin' actually. Why do you ask?"

message 33: by Shannyn (new)

Shannyn Deliberately ignoring the latter part of his response, Colette looked up at him, eyes sparkling. This pleasant surprise and change of subject still did not summon a smile from her, though. "You have a band? I never knew that! I knew you were always... musically inclined, but I never knew you were in a band!" she said, happy to direct the conversation away from her previous question. "What instrument do you play? What is the name of it?"

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
The ignoring of the second part of his reply was blatant. It caused Damien to quirk a brow, merely out of curiosity of course, but chose not to question it. He was sure Colette had her reasons-- and even more sure he didn't want to know what they were. However, the boy had to admit he was a bit taken aback by the girl's obvious interest in the topic. The lack of a matching facial expression going ignored. "Yeah, we've been together...two years now or somethin'. Haven't played that many places yet though," he answered with a bit of an awkward laugh. For one reason or another, Damien always got a bit self-conscious when the topic of his band came up. "I play guitar and do vocals actually. But...the name's a surprise. You'll find out at the dance I promise-- if you're goin' that is."

message 35: by Shannyn (new)

Shannyn Now Colette smiled. "Of course I am going. I love masquerades!" She reminisced over the New Year's Ball back in Vienna that she had gone to a few months ago. "The handsome strangers... the dancing... the mystery of it all... I love it. After costume parties, masquerades are my favorite kind of celebration." Colette checked the time on her phone and saw a text message from Etienne telling her that a large package had arrived for her. It must be my dress, she thought. Then added, "And I cannot wait to hear your band play, Damien. I will see you there, that is if I can find you." She gave him one more sly smile, shouldered her purse, and walked off. She looked behind her once more at Damien thinking to herself that he was surprisingly pleasant.

♣ ѴĪѴΛĿDĪ ☽ Oƒƒ ωιтн тнєιя нєα∂ѕ! ☾ (midnightdeluge) | 601 comments Mod
Huh, that was a surprise. Damien couldn't really recall if he had ever seen the younger girl smile any time she had come into his line of sight. He had to admit-- the smile suited her far more than her usually cold demeanor. "It's like this dance was pretty much made for you then, huh?" He joked easily, a smile tugging up at the corners of his lips as well while releasing a chuckle. Though aware his friends were looking forward to the night as well, Damien could honestly say he didn't know of anyone else what was quite as excited as Colette. It was...oddly intriguing. He blinked a few times when she began preparing to leave, standing from his like the gentleman he tried to be and giving a nod. "No worries, just look for the guy up on the stage with the microphone, alright?" The boy decided it was probably best for him to leave as well. But he stood rooted in place, watching as Colette walked away, slowly shaking his head as a smile remained on his lips. "Well...she's an interestin' one."

Anthony let out a deep sigh. He was rushing around the mall, trying to get his last minute gift for his brother. And he honestly didn't know what to get him. They had a strange relationship, and in all honestly he didn't know him well anymore. He took a seat on one of the metal benches in the mall, placing his bags of already boughten gifts and decoration down beside him. He ran a hand through his dishevelled redish brown hair, as he pulled its phone out of its blue jeans. He found christmas annoying. At this point in his life, he hated it. He didn't always hate it though. When he was younger he loved it, but a lot had changed since then. He no longer had anyone except for Dean, and even he wasn't that close with him anymore. This holiday just reminded him about how much he missed the past.

If it was one thing Autumn loved, it was people watching. She could do it endlessly. Coupled with her love of shopping, she was seen rather frequently at the mall, and today was no exception. Hell, she would probably be here on Christmas. Ever since her sister, and moving from France, family holidays hadnt been very popular amongst the Capulet family. Her mother was always on a beach somewhere, her father locked in his office doing business. So, Autumn found herself at the mall, Coach clutch in hand, black thigh-high boots accenting her curvy legs. Despite the cold weather, the girl wore a pair of marroon shorts with the boots, and a white blouse, coupled with a string of pearls. She made her way slowly through the mall
