To be clear the Men of Letter don't like hunters. And there's a branch called the British Men of Letters.
The Men of Letters, in my opinions, keep tabs on hunters and monsters. So, lore books are what they generally look into.
I understood they considered Hunters to be an unsavory but necessary lot. Neanderthals who only knew how to kill and did not bother trying to understand. Hunters thought Men of Letters were useless nerds who sat in their Ivory Tower and let innocent people die while they read books. R. S. Merritt
