Shapeshifting
This is the most respected of the abilities your character can possibly achieve. There are three levels of shapeshifting: Lovious, Helious, and Sophulious.

Lovious
The most powerful level which the leaders of Astarial have, along with a few contestants (lords, ladies, dukes, & duchesses) from previous contests who had managed to reach this level. Your character can transform into the following along with other animals from the lower levels:

-Snow Leopard
-Panther
-Dragon
-Werewolf
-Unicorn
-Pegasus
-Griffin
-


Helious
The second level to the top is the level of which is common for a selected few to master. Some of these who do achieved this level are often the rich school boys or girls who attend Frostfire.

Sophulious
The average level for all people. But it's nothing to get excited about. Sure, you can transform into the smaller creatures, but most are unsatisfied with this level and want to strive for the higher ones.

Is it possible to not have an ability at all?
Or to have a powerful ability, but to be an outcast or pariah?

Could I have the ability to manipulate shadows and use light to create illusions?

Yes it is always possible! ^.^ Your character doesn't need to have an ability or even shapeshift as well. Of course! I'll add it to the list. Thank you for the suggestions! :D

Do I claim abilities here too or do I just make my character with the abilities I want?

You don't have to claim. This is an information thread of what ability(s) your character could have. ^.^ And you can just write down the ability which you want your character to have on the template.

Can my character have more than one ability?

And does my character have to be able to shapeshift?

Yes, they may. Just be sure that he or she is not too overpowered. :-) No., they do not. They could have either shapeshifting OR an ability (which is generally more common to have) or both. ^.^ It's up to you.

Can they have powers from two different "categories"? Sorry, I just noticed the way you sorted them were same powers...

Yes, they may. :-)

So do we pick a shape to shift into or a power listed or both or?

It can be either or, or both, if you wish. :-)

I'm thinking just shapeshifting(maybe full on body manipulation, not just into animals, but like altering his appearance, like Jake the Dog from Adventure Time), maybe with animal telepathy/speech? Or would that be to OP?

Well, I don't wabt to be that person, but I was hoping for something not OP, but maybe unique when I went for shadow/light manipulation, but then it became a power that people could choose if they wanted. On it's own, it's not super powerful, but I was hoping to have something that would set aside a character that didn't have a shapeshifting ability, at least not yet.

Ilsa - Ooooo. I get it! So how about, if your character can manipulate light and shadows, then she or he could snuff the light out of a room? Or perhaps create wispy figures with their shadows?

That's almost taken for granted as the parameters of the ability?

Could sound manipulation work as an ability? As I perceive it would allow the control of volumes and tones as well as sound frequencies, but nothing more than that.

Could there be a manipulator of a certain type? For example, metal manipulation or electricity(al) manipulation.
Also, just a thought, it may be too OP, maybe not, but a power dampener power (dampens powers when used around them, but doesn't really benefit them)

I believe so I have used the mental manipulation as one my character's abilities and the mods had no problem with it.

Okay... I'll roll with that, I've got a backup plan just in case.
