October is drawing to a close, and with National Novel Writing Month almost upon us, I wanted to ask who is participating this year.

If you are participating in NaNoWriMo, what kind of story are you planning to write? Is it a WIP or a new project? Are you a planner or a pantser?

Personally, I've never attempted a NaNoWriMo. The closest I've gotten is doing a very rough outline until I realized I was outlining a movie (a very bad one, too). It's difficult for me to revert back to writing prose because I majored in screenwriting and novel-writing is a very different type of storytelling medium. Plus, I've also developed a kind of writing phobia in the last couple of years.

But I've been jotting down notes over the past year for a contemporary YA novel. Not sure if I'll attempt NaNoWriMo this year, as I am a hardcore planner, but I'm trying to take things step by step.

Lauren | 112 comments Not doing NaNoWriMo. I’m already struggling with my third novel and that is going to take way more than a month.

Dreamingblackbird I never attempted NaNoWriMo either but I would really like to participate one day (for some reason, University life always seems to get in the way of it). I am also more of a planner. Anyway, I wish you much luck with your step by step journey!

Someone created NaNoPoMo, which is a challenge to create a podcast episode a day and I'm just..........why?

Anyways, good luck to anyone attempting NaNoWriMo this month!

I think I would die if we had to record an episode a day.
