Our story begins in the setting of modern times in a high school setting, where we find our main protagonist, Jeremy Heere. He is known as mostly a nerd or a loser, showing that he is at the bottom of the popularity scale. He has a best friend named Micheal Mell, a guy who generally is a chill guy who loves listening to music with his big headphones and just sometimes does smoke. These two are inseparable as their friendship is always blinded by video games and references as what brought them together. As the usual story goes, Jeremy isn't the most popular kid ever for he has Humiliantion sheets( a sheet full of tally marks for which kind of embarrassment) and is mostly a social awkward type of kid but he really does love theatre. Along with him at rehearsal, there is his long lasting crush of high school, Christine Caniglia, a common theatre geek who also represents brains with her beauty but is also rivaled by another boy who likes her, Jake Dillinger. Jeremy knows sooner that he doesn't have a shot at taking chances but he will still keep trying to win her heart over, he just really needs help with that first. Micheal later on explains to him how his brother got high scores on a test using a specialized supercomputer in a pill form, which name is unknown as of now.

I really enjoy the book so far as it represents many different aspects of life and high school for generalized behavior and ideas can happen to take place during this time in history in the modern era. This really seems to connect to when I was starting middle school/high school, remembering the fear and anxiety coming from how I would fit in, would I make friends, or how would I cope when new challenges seem to come and face my way.
