Maya was still trembling with fear as Josh and she arrived. Tears still falling down her cheeks. Her arm hurt... Her scalp hurt too...

((Sorry I didn't post back, my whole computer shut down. And I had to wait for it to come back up again.))

Josh lead her into his house. His mom was out drinking again, which Josh was used to. He lead Maya to the couch and let her sit. Then he left and grabbed two ice-packs. Josh walked into the room and sat next to her. He placed on her arm and put one on her head where her dad ripped her hair.

Maya winced slightly. Then relief filled her and she sighed. "Thank you." She sniffled. Her eyes were swollen and red from crying. As her eyes drifted close she leaned her head on his shoulder.

Josh nodded.
"No problem." He says. When she closed her eyes, Josh picked her up and brought her into a spare bedroom. He laid her down then went back into the kitchen.

Maya soon fell asleep. She was thankful for Josh.... He was so kind to her and amazing...

Josh sighed and laid down on the couch. He didn't want to turn on the TV incase that woke up Maya. Josh glanced at the room he hoped she would be ok.

After a couple of hours maya woke up again. The sky was dark and she had a headache. She sighed and glanced around. "Josh..." She whispered.

Josh was in the kitchen finishing up dinner. He had put a dish of soup for Maya in the room. Josh wondered when she would wake up but never disturbed her.

Maya looked at the bowl of soup and took it slowly.

((It's alright. I have been on vacation and checked and realized you didn't respond yet. I was just seeing if you were still there.))

((Yup! I am.. Been busy:(

Caleb finally went and checked on Maya. He opened the Door quietly and saw that she was awake. He smiles slightly and opened the door a little more.
"How are you feeling?" He asks.

((It's ok, I have been too. Right now is the only time I've been able to come on GR))

Maya peeked up at him and gave him a huge grin. "Good now." She nodded. "Thanks."

"No problem. That's what friends do." Josh says with a wink. Then he leans against the door frame.
"Is the soup ok?" He asks her.

She nodded. "Great actually." She whispered. It was amaizng! And smelt amazing!

Josh smiles relieved.
"Ok, good I was hoping you liked it." He responds. Josh comes into the room more and sits at the edge of the bed.

Maya watched him with her blue grey eyes. She let out a small sighed and nodded

"Sorry I didn't wake you up earlier, but I thought it was better if you got to sleep." Josh says. Then he smiles slightly.

Maya smiled. "I appreciate it." She beamed and touched his hand gently with hers

Josh looks down at her hand and he played with her fingers gently. Finally his hand wraps around hers.
"So, you have anything you want to do?" She asks him.

Maya nodded and leaned over and kissed his cheek. "How are you? You okay?" She asked worried

Josh glanced up at her.
"Am I okay? Don't worry about me, I'm fine. It's you I'm really worried about." Josh tells her softly. He could really see she was concerned for him and he fell for her a little bit more-if possible.

Maya blushed and sighed. "I'll be fine." She whispered.

"I'll try my best to keep that way too." Josh says with a smile. He lays his head down on the bed and sighs.

She sighed and laid down beside him. Looking up at the ceiling she glanced over at him.

Josh saw her glance at him. He smiled and turned over facing her.
"So, anything you wanna tell me now?" He asks her.

Maya blushed and spun around looking away. "No," she whispered. Oh gosh!!! She was on his bed... With him! Oh...

Josh saw her reaction.
"No! Nothing like that. I meant with you and your father." He tells her quickly.

She blushed deeply and hid her face. She was so stupid... Of course he didn't mean it like that... Who could like her right? "Nothing else I would like to share.@

Josh sighed. He thought she finally would open up to him after seeing. What he saw. But he guess wrong.
"Okay." He finally says after a long period of silence.

Maya sighed. "I should go..." He was disappointed in her... She could tell!

Josh stared at her for a while. Thinking to what he should say.
"Wait. Just listen to what I have to say first and after if you still want to go you can." Josh tells her.

She sat up and hung her head. After a while she gave a small nod

"As you might of guess I do actually like you. A lot. And I really want you to be safe. That's why I want to get to know you more so I can have a better idea on your background. I just care about you. So I'm sorry if you think I'm pushing you to get information." Josh tells her slowly.

"I don't think that... I just... Wait... You what?" She looked up. Her cheeks pink.

Josh looked up. He gave a shaky laugh.
"I said that I liked you. Yeah I can understand if you are totally disgusted by that statement." Josh tells her.

She blushed and looked at him. "I... Would have never thought anyone would like me." She whispered and ducked her head

"Well you thought wrong then." Josh replies nervously. He was still nervous about what she thought about what he told her.

She looked up into his eyes and smiled. Then she hugged him tightly. "I like you... Too."

Josh hugged her back. He smiled.
"That's great!" He replies joy filling him. Josh couldn't even explain how he was feeling right then.

Maya giggled and relaxed in his arms. "Josh.." She smiled as she said his name gently

"Maya." Josh replied saying her name differently then he usually does. Because he was sure about his feelings towards her now. Josh held her in his arm his arms gentle with her.

Maya giggled. "I'm happy." She whispered. For the first time in a long time she was happy.

"Happy for me is an understatement." Josh replies grinning. Josh lays his chin on her head lightly and sighs happily.

She giggled and sighed sadly after a bit. "I do need to get home..." She sighed. "Sadly."
