9. Delicious - For in the first few minutes of their meeting Nell had taken in his eyes, which were a really dark, almost navy blue, sparking with surprise when she had entered the room to catch him messing about with the family photographs, and then dancing enticingly at her, in a way that even now made her shiver with a delicious kind of dread. (loc 1014)

17. Gathering - The English teacher gave her a curt nod of her iron grey frizzled hair, and gathering up an ancient black leather briefcase, that looked like a doctor's bag, stalked out of the classroom. (loc 210)

27. Orchard - It was an odd place, which for hundreds of years must have remained little more than a rustic hamlet, until someone decided that the view from the top of the hill over the orchard laden landscape, was to die for, making the property developers move in to build in quick succession, many of the now classic chalet style houses of the late sixties, which made up the bulk of the village. (loc 2062)
29. Past - "I couldn't get past the first line." (loc 249)

42. Stuffed - It was the last day of term before the summer holidays, and Laurel had sat through most of double English with a head that felt as if it was stuffed with cotton wool, and eyes she had constantly fought to keep open, drugged by the inflated heat from the uncovered half of the window. 15. Fortunate - Ever since the day he'd fallen from City Hall's second floor balcony onto the hardwood floor below, and been fortunate enough that Wallace Pruym, the city secretary, was there to break the fall, things had gone from bad to worse with Bruges's former First Citizen. (loc 568)

Progress: 43 out of 50
Dessert - 41-50 words
Each month we will give you a list of 50 themed words to find in your books.
There is no limit to how many words you can get per book.
For each word please post a link to the book, the author, the date you finished it, plus the page number/location and sentence where you found the word.
Any genre/format is fine.
Re-reads are OK.
No page minimum.
To count a book towards the challenge you must read the majority of it after the start date of the challenge.
At the end of the month please re-post your whole challenge as a new message so that we can award your Hall of Fame badge!
(Even if you don't hit the level you were aiming for, you can still claim a badge for the words you did get.)
