Happy November everyone! ;-)

We'll be reading My Best Friend's Exorcism
My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
for November 2017 BOTM. With 6 votes (28.6%), it just barely beat our runner-up title. Apparently, EXORCISM is this month's theme. We should have fun with this one! Here's some information from Goodreads:

Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fifth grade, when they bonded over a shared love of E.T., roller-skating parties, and scratch-and-sniff stickers. But when they arrive at high school, things change. Gretchen begins to act . . . different. And as the strange coincidences and bizarre behavior start to pile up, Abby realizes there’s only one possible explanation: Gretchen, her favorite person in the world, has a demon living inside her. And Abby is not about to let anyone or anything come between her and her best friend. With help from some unlikely allies, Abby embarks on a quest to save Gretchen. But is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil?

Will you be reading with us?!

Kelsey I can't believe this won! I nominated it because two other Snails had expressed interest, but I never thought that it would win!

I just read it two months ago, so I won't be actively reading it, but I'll be participating in the posts :)

Be warned, it's an unusual book...and semi gross at parts, but it definitely kept me hooked until the end.

Hope everyone who reads this enjoys it!

I checked it out from the library a year or so ago but didn't get around to it then. Perhaps I can grab a copy, it sounds unique for sure! Thanks for the warning.

The VHS cover is what drew me to this book to begin with. I'm a huge "Judge by the cover" person LOL

Kelsey The VHS fake cover also drew me to it initially! I'm a sucker for anything vintage looking, and I was dying to read something spooky set in the 80's, because at that point, I was desperately waiting from Stranger Things 2 to be released!

I can definitely say the book didn't disappoint on the spooky front!

Has anyone started reading it yet?

I have yet to check on the availability at the library! I might have to skip it this time around but I'm still very interested in the future.

StarMan (thestarman) | 1943 comments I give it 4 stars (rounded up from 3.75). A unique kind of tale.
