One Point Tasks

1.1 National Novel Writing Month
Read a book with a character that is a writer -OR- the MC first name begins with a letter in NOVEL.

1.2 (Linda C's Task) Pick A Genre
Read a book with Fantasy as its main page genre.

1.3 Thanksgiving (11/23)
Read a book that the Author's initials ( first & last name) are in THANKSGIVING. -OR- the book is set during this time of year (November).

1.4 Men Make Dinner Day (11/3)
Read a book that has a male character who cooked a meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).

1.5 Chicken Soup for the Soul Day (11/12)
Read a book where the first letter of every word in the title can be found in CHICKEN SOUP (All words count; 3-word minimum).

1.6 Celebrate the Author

Read Two Books

1. Capture the Flag
Read a book set in the United Kingdom (must be at less set 75% in chosen country).

2. Detour
To reach your detour complete one of the following tasks.

1. Fight, Fight, Fight! Both holidays are results of historical conflicts in and involving England. Read a book about a war or a conspiracy, or with a historical fiction genre.

2. Oxbridge. Two of the world's most highly-rated academic institutions share space, and an intense rivalry, on this small island. 3. Afternoon Tea. English people "have a cuppa" more than any other country in the world, Read a book with the word Tea in the title or with a teacup or mug on the cover (any kind of hot beverage will do). Show cover.

2. Birthstone, Topaz - Orange-red and pink colors are rare and most valuable

V – read a book where the title starts with V or celebrate Veteran's Day (Nov 11) or Gunpowder Day (Nov 5) by reading a book with an MC who is a veteran of any war or has a gun on the cover (show cover)
