Dawn | 7 comments Hello everyone, So I am having a heck of a time finding something that will grab my interest.. I am on the hunt for a series, something funny but mystery and no need for s ton of romance. I have :-)read Stephanie Plums series by Janet Evanovich, had me laughing! I have read the Jack Daniels Series by J.A. Konrath, that had me laughing as well. I have read Karin Slaughers Will Trent and Grant County series and really enjoyed those. I have also read most of Patricia Cornwells series with Scarpetta. So Im stuck, as you can see, I love a good funny mystery with a chick as the main character being a girl I can relate to the attitude lol So ideas aee appreciated and I look forward to them.

Thomas (tom471) | 2040 comments Try The Cold Dish book 1 in the Longmire series.
The main character is Walt Longmire but Victoria Moretti is the main second character and there is a fair amount of humor. Both my wife and I like the books and the tv series. See my review

We also like Evanovich and Konrath.

My husband and I love the Longmire series--the books and the TV show. The first book is a little slow getting started, but after that, Wow.

Thomas (tom471) | 2040 comments You're Welcome. I am reading The Western Star latest book in the series. They are best read in order.

Michelina (michelinaz) | 2 comments Do you like historical mysteries? If you do, check out Her Royal Spyness series. The main character is a 20-something girl who is something like the 26th in line to the British throne but she’s totally broke. The characters are great, the mysteries keep me guessing and there are LOTS of funny moments.

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 92 comments One for the Money by Janet Evanovich is hysterical. I have read most of the series but found the first 5 or 6 to be best.

There is a good amount of humour in the Abe Lieberman series by Stuart M. Kaminsky . The books are not hilarious but every so often laugh out loud.

This is true for the Virgil Cain series by Brad Smith also although it looks like Brad Smith did not necessarily want his protagonist to be humorous but he became one while, IMO, Kaminsky started off his series with a humorous protagonist in mind.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 1438 comments I'd go with Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Start with One for the Money.
