Acelin brought Zander to a camping sight just South of Boulder. It was remote, beautiful, and most importantly protected from monsters. The large mountains and huge trees not only disguised their scent, but also created a natural barrier.

Zander looked around in amazement. "This place is amazing Ace!" He said smiling.

Adeline smiled at him. She hadn't been here in a long time and she really missed it. It was warm, but it wasn't too cold, and she was glad that she chose a good time. "I'm glad you like it." She said honestly.

Zander smiled and looked at her. "I love it. So want me to set up the tent while you get fire wood?" He asked. He for some reason wanted to get set up right away. He didn't know what but he wanted to look around for a bit.

((Yes I'm gonna start dropping hints toward the box. Hey would you mind if I used Acelin in a novel?))

((I know I'm FREAKING HYPED and hell yeah my dude but be warned she's so super complicated and is probably gonna be a pain in the butt to write, BUT I WANNA SEE WHAT YOU DO WITH HER I BET ITS GONNA BE AWESOME))

Adeline nodded. "Sounds good!" She said cheerfully, pulling out a spool of twine. "If you need me and I can't here you just tug on it, okay?" She said as she tied it to a tree. "The woods are so thick you won't be able to hear anything."

((Don't worry I will ask you if I feel like I might get her wrong.))

Zander nodded and started setting up the tent. He started to figure it out when he noticed something shining in his eyes. He couldn't focus on his work so he quickly finished the basics and walked over to it.

((I still want to read it because just from seeing what you Wright here's I know it's going to be fantastic and I'm super hyped to read what you write because YAY))

Acelin wandered really far off, gather small twigs, medium sized sticks, and brush for kindling. She held it all in a makeshift bag she folded out of her jacket. It was awkward and not permanent, but it worked.

Zander was surprised to find a black diamond. He had heard that they existed but he figured they were only able to be made in a laboratory. He picked it up carefully and looked at it. An idea popped into his mind and he quickly pulled out a small velvet carrying pouch and put the diamond in. He closed it and walked back over to the tent and finally finished it. He looked toward the sky and wandered where Acelin was. He walked over to the twine and plucked it. Once that was done he started making a fire pit.

Acelin was rolling the twine up and heading back when she felt the twine shake. Perfect timing, as she emerged from behind some trees ished wrapping her twine, and seeing the tent. "Wow, looks great Zander, thank you." She said honestly, placing the wood where the fire should be as she started to set up.

Zander smiled. "Glad you liked it." He said feeling good about himself. He looked around and thought about what they would do here. They could be gone for a few days if they wanted to drain their supply of mist. He looked at Acelin and smiled. He couldn't imagine a better way to spend a week.

Once it was all set up, Acelin lit the bottom, letting it grow itself. "Wanna play chess?" She asked, pulling out a large, soft, and blue blanket that contained a chess mat and small plastic pieces. She sat down next to the fire and wrapped the blanket around her.

Zander smiled and sat across from her. "Sure. It's one of the few things I'm good at." He said with a smile. He looked at the board and started planning how he would play.

Acelin smiled devilishly. "Okay, well we'll see how this goes." She said, going first. She had practiced chess since she was young, and would probably have been an official grandmaster if she actually cared.

Zander nodded and smiled. He hadn't had a good game since he arrived at camp. He figured it was something he'd just have to leave behind. When he started playing it looked like he was sacrificing pieces without a reason to.

In reality Acelin wasn't a big fan of Pawns. She had never seen a reason to master them once she figured out how to absolutely dominate with knights, and in 9 moves, "Check." She said, smiling.

Zander smiled and looked at her. "Check." He said as he knocked her king over with a Pawn. "Don't ignore the little guys." He said with a smile. He looked at her. "That was a fun game. you almost had me on turn eight." He said with a big smile.

Acelin shrugged. "I still win. You said check instead of checkmate, weirdo." She said playfully, yawning and stretching. "Plus I'm tired." She said, starting to pack up. "Wanna go hiking tomorrow?" She asked hopefully.

Zander nodded. "I'd love to go hiking." He said honestly. He looked at Acelin. "You know. We only packed one sleeping bag." He said.

Acelin shrugged. "I'm used to sleeping on the floor, plus I got this big blanket, you can have it if you want." She said sweetly, honestly indifferent if she had a sleeping bag or not.

Zander looked at her. "No you are sleeping in that bag with me or I will sleep on the ground." He said firmly not willing to move. He looked in her eyes. "Please?" He asked.

Acelin chuckled. "Sharing could work." She said playfully wriggling into the sleeping bag and balling up her blanket to use as a pillow.

Zander laid next to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Can you tell me what France is like?" He asked. "I've never been outside the states." He admitted. He looked at her. He thought for a moment. "If you want I can sing a song to you?" He offered sweetly. He realized he only ever sang to Acelin or Amy.

Acelin smiled, gently laying an arm around his neck. "Well...it's a lot colder than it is here...but it is really beautiful, and full of history..." she started explaining, whispering fondly. "They don't celebrate Halloween though, and they don't have school buses." She said honestly. "That was kind of a culture shock."

Zander smiled and looked into her eyes. "I would love to see it." He said honestly. He started wondering why his mother had spoken in German but decided it wasn't something to bring up right now. He looked at her. "Can you speak French?" He asked knowing if she could he would have no idea what she was saying.

Acelin chuckled "Oui le fou." She said softly, chuckling to herself. "Do you know how to speak French?" She asked.

Zander shook his head. "I know a bit of German but no French." He admitted.

Acelin smiled. "Well then, I guess I can call you whatever I want in French and you won't be able to know mon amour." She said playfully.

Zander kissed her lovingly. "Then I'll call you whatever I want in German." he teased playfully. He looked into her eyes. "Right Liebe." He said smirkingly.

Acelin smiled softly, kissing him on the forehead. "Ich kenne etwas Deutsch." She whispered. "But let's head to bed, okay?"

Zander chuckled and pulled her closer. He kissed her forehead and laid down for sleep.

Acelin smiled gently and leans against his chest, quickly falling asleep.

Zander smiled and kissed her gently. "Schlaf gut mein schönes Mädchen." He whispered and fell asleep.

Acelin didn't have the energy to go through all of the translations for what he said, but she was sure it was good. She was sure she would get a good nights sleep for the day ahead.

((Time skip to the morning? Also just FWY I feel sorry for who ever Amy is with now because you know she's going nuts about all the new stuff she's learning.))

Ace Lin woke up on the third day of the trip, knowing they would have to leave. She kept her eyes closed and stayed in her spot next to Zander, hoping she could stay there for just a little bit longer.

Zander smiled and looked down at her. He had tossed his shirt away in the night when the tent started to get to hot. He looked down at her. "Good morning my love." He said sweetly moving her hair behind her ears.

Acelin smiled softly, opening her eyes slightly. "Good morning Zander..." she said quietly, yawning. "How did you sleep?"

Zander smiled at her. "Ich habe wunderbar schön geschlafen." He said in german. He smiled and kissed her nose. He had been going over ideas for the diamond since he found it and finally settle on making it into a ring. He looked at her. "I'm glad we could do this." He said smiling.

Acelin nodded, smiling softly. "Me too." She said honestly. "Now we gotta go back and hope the camp hasnt caught on fire."

Zander chuckled. "That could of happened." He reminded her.
