Within the prison, there are may roles and jobs that must be conducted well so that the system operated like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that there is no room for rebellion and the maximum security of the prison is maintained. All Heads have direct contact and conversation with the Warden, and they meet to discuss courses of action within the facility. Just because the world is dead outside its walls, there is no reason to destroy the hierarchy system that has ensured our survival of our species for so long.
The Warden
For each aspect of the prison, there is a head that overseas all action regarding that area of prison maintenance. The Warden overseas all. She is the authority even Enforcers fear. A steely cold woman who may seem ruthless, but it is her resourcefulness that is keeping whatever dangers are outside from coming in, and the prisoners within at bay.

Prison Guards
The prison guards are overseen by Enforcers. Enforcers are military prison guards of the highest calibre, ruthless in eliminating unwanted disturbances to the clockwork system of the prison. They are often positioned around the Wards 4 and beyond to subdue more dangerous patients, and oversea the guards in Wards 1 - 4.
The generic prison guard is often a person of previous experience in either the defence or police force. They are experienced at subduing misbehaving prisoners, but not as cold as their Enforcer Superiors.
The kitchen staff are responsible for keeping everyone within the prison sustained and alive. The Head Chef may have the hardest and most underappreciated job in the whole prison. They're job is to ensure the food stored prior to the war is used to utmost efficiency as, once it is gone, everyone in the prison will die a slow death of starvation. The Head Chef overseas the cooks that do the majority of the preparation and serving of food to inmates. Food is served in such a manner that the cooks never see the faces of whom they are serving. The Warden believes this is so that equality among prisoners remains, that a cook cannot serve a person they pity more food than the others.

Medical Staff
The Medical Staff consists of doctors, surgeons and nurses all ready to cater for the patients needs in the Infirmary and Hospital Ward. The Head Surgeon overseas all surgeries that occur in the hospital, and has the most expertise of all doctors within the facility having been world class before the war. Doctors act as the general practitioners of the ward, administering vaccinations to ensure that the prison is free of sickness and epidemic as well as prescribing medications and treatments to those patients who need it. The nurses deliver vaccinations and medications directly to prisoners and ensuring high security prisoners consume their medications. They also ensure that everything within the facility is sanitized, washing any dirty items obtained by cleaning staff in antibacterial baths. The nurses, doctors and surgeons along with the prison guards and Warden are the only people who have direct contact with the prisoners.

Cleaning Staff

If epidemic was to break out within the facility, the cleaning staff, followed by the nurses would be to blame, and so their jobs require a keen and sharp eye to detail. The Head Cleaner must be OCD enough to not even let a speck of dust pass their keen eye, as this isn't simply a question of sanitation. Its a question of ensuring that they don't all die of a sickness that could have been prevented through proper sanitation. Maids oversea cleaners, helping out here and there.
