Hype Or Not discussion

I think it has to do with Blue, some sort of prophecy fulfillment or something like that.

As to the man, I'm thinking it could be Whelk, and his recearch is somehow woven with Gansey's and Blue's characters, which Maura knows and tries to prevent.

Eleni I was thinking it was Whelk too and that he could do some harm towards them in the future on his quest to find the king.

I mean, we know Whelk found out what Gansey is looking for and I thought he would want more info on the ley lines. I didn't think he would harm him, but then again Gansey embodies everything that Whelk had and lost so maybe you have a point.
