Kate Davies, who lives outside Glasgow, published some gorgeous photos of the tapestry, which are much better than the photos in the book:http://katedaviesdesigns.com/category...
I just bought the book The Great Tapestry of Scotlandnot to be confused with The Great Tapestry of Scotland: The Making of the Tapestry. The first contains the entire tapestry and is almost 400 pages. The second tells how the tapestry was made, and is one I am also likely to get. Anyway the Goodreads entries are wrong as both books are shown under the same entry, but as different editions.
