Thanks Blue! Dropping it to 100 to see if I can't get a bit more writing done beyond November this year ;)
Steadily working my way through Les Mis -- I'm past the 100-page mark. Woohoo! Such a dense book. Anyway~January

Yes, the Samantha box set is technically 6 books but they're so short I read all of them in the span of 2-3 hours one afternoon. Still love them as much as I did when I was a kid. And Rebecca Roanhorse's WELCOME TO YOUR AUTHENTIC INDIAN EXPERIENCE in the Apex Magazine issue was fantastic.
Samantha and Molly were my favorite American Girls :) I still like reading those from time to time!In the newer ones, I really like Julie!
Nice reading month Ashley!
I don't know if I've ever read the newer ones -- I think Kit was the last "new" doll I remember, and that was eons ago LOL. I had the Kaya set and my sister had the Josefina set when we were small, on top of my Samantha books. <3Thanks Jenny!

Yup. April was an AWFUL month for reading. I hit a slump and then didn't read anything for probably two weeks. Sigh.

A little better this month! And I loved everything save for the comic book and the DNF. I'm currently doing my best to ignore the fact that I'm 6 books behind on my GR goal bc I'm super-into the books I'm currently reading, so I'm in a better place than April's slump :)

A bunch of plays this month! (That's what I get for getting that anthology from the library) Books aside, it was a crazy-busy month so I'm amazed I read so many things. Thankfully with so many of them being plays, they were short and relatively easy to get through.
An interesting note-to-self: Step it up on the historical fiction! Geez. Passed my goal for nonfic and completely ignoring my other goals lol
Oh my word, I forgot July. Ahem.7 books read

A good month full of good reads! I'm especially looking forward to continuing the Broken Earth trilogy and the Sixth World series. It also seems like this is a really good year in terms of keeping up with reading new releases, which is fun :)

Not an awful month, all things considered, although I always want to read more. I've been plugging away with Les Mis the last week or so and am around the halfway point -- hoping to finish by New Year's, haha. I also really enjoyed all of these. Great Library is one of my favorite series, and the Others is fascinating as well. Plus it's been ages since I read a Michelle Moran book, so that was cool (and I learned about Mata Hari! Yay!)
I am a fan of the Others series too Ashley. I have thought about going back and re-reading the Little House series to see if it holds up now that I am an adult.
Sorry I missed your update (I haven't been as active on Goodreads other than marking my own books) Nice reading month for you, I hope your reading is still going well for you!
OH yikes, haha. I just realized I haven't checked in here in ages either! I'll probably just do a year-end wrap-up post at this point, it being December already (where did the time go?).

Goals:
- 100 books GR goal
- 50 books owned
- 10 historical fiction
- ✓10 nonfiction
- Les Miserables
- Paradise Lost
plus a host of new and recent releases, and more library attempts of books that I checked out in 2017 but never got around to reading before they went back. Keeping the full list in a spreadsheet.
I'm also considering a Lord of the Rings reread (haven't read them in ten years)hahahahahaha nope it looks like Les Mis is gonna take the majority of the year so I'll save this for another time. Maybe.More Shakespeare is always a goal of mine, although rather than reading any of his work in 2017 I saw two of his plays. So that was something :)
