Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I just finished The Last Hours by Minette Walters. I used to read Minette Walters years ago. She was a favorite author but she wrote crime fiction. The Ice House remains one of my favorite British crime novels. It's just brilliant.

Now she's turned her hand to historical fiction...

It's pretty damned good. But there is just one thing. The Last Hours is a zombie book. It really is. The black death is the zombie virus. Lady Anne brings all her people into a fort to protect them. There are redneck bad-guys roaming the country side. There's even a 14th Century Walmart of a sort.

I kind of want people to read this book so they can see what I mean. It's really quite interesting. And like all zombie books...

...to be continued.

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 696 comments I recently reread Duke of Sin by Adele Ashworth. The older historicals are ones I tend to enjoy more, and this revitalized my love for HR. But I think I need to spend some time in HR of the past and rereading.

Duke of Sin (The Duke Trilogy, #1) by Adele Ashworth
