Ulasan: Kisah ini menceritakan tentang realiti hidup berumahtangga, bagaimana si isteri diuji bila suaminya miskin, dan bagaimana si suami diuji bila sudah kaya.
Saya dapat membayangkan bagaimana hidup selepas kahwin, realitinya, dan bagaimana suami melayan isteri, dan isteri melayan suami. Dan adat Minangkabau yang membuatkan saya rasa kasihan kepada Leman kerana dia susah payah bekerja, tapi hasilnya diberi kepada isteri. Lelaki-lelaki Minang mesti tabah dan rajin-rajin orangnya.
Seperti biasa, susunan ayat yang terbaik, memberi kesan mendalam kepada pembaca.

Ulasan: Quite a heavy storyline for a children's book. Not the kind of fairytale I was expecting as the storyline is mostly dark.

Ulasan: A Game of Thrones sangat menarik untuk dibaca, susunan ayat dan pilihan perkataannya tidak terlalu sukar untuk difahami. Senang nak faham terutama bagi yang dah tonton di HBO.

5. Lady Midnight - Cassandra Clare

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult
Ulasan: I am amazed with my ability to finish reading this book in 3 days time. It is quite a thick book, with 600++ pages and I finished it in a short time, meaning this book keeps me addicted, and torn between wanting to know what will happen next, and do not want it to end so fast.

Ulasan: Quite a bone-chilling story on some parts. Like watching a thriller by reading. But this is not a thriller story. An ok book to fill your free time.

7. A Clash of Kings - George R.R. Martin

Ulasan: Having watched the TV show before reading, I have already expected on what the story will be like. i love how the feelings of the characters were described, especially when they were forced to do things opposite of what they were feeling. the satisfaction was there ( rooting for Sansa on her inner battle with Joffrey)
i have never read a battle / war "scene" before and wow to imagine those...thank goodness for the show, at least i have something to base on when imagining.
there is a lot of imagination involved in this, something i have not done in a long time. which is good cos i can let my mind wander off from my current stressedful life.

9. Golden - K.M. Robinson

Genre: Young Adult
Ulasan: The story is quite fast paced, (too fast paced for some plot actually), but it quite an interesting read. there are some filler scenes in the plot that i think is not important for the development of the story. sometimes i think the focus of the story stray a bit, and then it gets back on track.
ok for a light read.

Ulasan: What an ending! Wow! How I wished they would include this part of the story in the TV show but they did not so I can only celebrate it here.
