Elli (The Bibliophile) (thebibliophilebooks) | 53 comments Hi guys! It's time to nominate books for our august read!

Rules:
1) In order to option a book, insert the title and author here in the discussion. I would say one book per person can be offered, please.
2) In order for the book to be considered, it MUST be seconded by another member of the group. A given member may second a particular book ONCE. If you optioned a book, obviously you cannot second it. FROM NOW ON, we can only allow for EVERY BOOK MEMBER a TOTAL of THREE secondeds. We want all our members to take part but we also want all book options to have a fighting chance and allow for the greatest amount of diversity!
3) The five books with the greatest number of "secondeds" get to move onto a poll that I'll create in due time.
4) At that poll, people will vote for which book they want to read.
5) And, of course, the book with the greatest number of votes wins.
This first poll will be open for a week until July 16th at 10 PM EST. Also, please keep in mind that, while I did want to promote writers of color who are not well known, I recommend you look into the accessibility of the book you want to option BEFORE you option it. If it's not easily accessible, it will have to be omitted. So, without further ado, send us your options!
