Bitter Grounds discussion

Charles- "I really like the style of how the author writes it is easy to read, flows nice."
Jack- "If I had to live through what the people in the book gotta go through I would be very very broken."
Corey- "My book is very interesting, because there is a lot going on in the book and his daughter is being forced into chaos."

The characters have to go through stuff that is so hard it is crazy. They work so hard and are super grateful for what they have even though they have almost nothing. I feel like a lot a lot of people in this world do not understand that they should be more grateful for what they have because some people don't have anything.

We all talked about how we kind of are thinking that we see similarities from the book in the world today. Back then the police were very corrupt, they aren't that bad now but they still kill for not good enough reasons. We all feel very strongly on this and would wish that there is peace.
