Hanna (hanawe1) | 44 comments What do you prefer? Hardcover or paperback? Personally I prefer paperbacks, not only because they're cheaper, I just think they look better (feel like I'm the only one though) They're also easier to bring and easier to read in bef,

Hardcover. I always get paperbacks because they're cheaper, but with hardcovers, the cover never gets bent.

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I lie paperbacks better too, but trade paperbacks, not mass markets. I can't read a hardcover with the dust jacket on it but I didn't like reading a book without a cover, so that's why I like paperbacks better. Usually when I end up buying a book though, I get it the day it comes out so most of the ones I own are hardcovers.

Oh, I also hate mass markets as well as dust covers. Brand new hardcovers are my favourite, but they come at a price.

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 49 comments I used to HATE hardcovers but now I prefer them to paperbacks. Paperbacks have their use, but I'd much rather have a hardcover.

BriAnna | 98 comments I only get hardcover for collectors editions and put the dust jacket up until I finish reading. I find it harder to get comfortable reading a hardback because I don't want to mess it up. Paperback is so much cheaper and just easier to deal with but can get torn easily. I might be the only one that has to keep mine perfect even though I probably won't ever read them again. Lol

Bruno Hache (katou) | 9 comments hardcover without a doubt. Looks better on the shelf too after it's read :)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments that's a hard one. with hardcover I always take the jacket off while I'm reading. I will say I love to undress the hard covers though. but I like both. it is easier to read paperbacks at night I'm bed though.

Paige Sewell | 2 comments Hardcover for books I want to keep. I usually donate my paperbacks to the library when finished. Although I did break down and buy a Kindle a few months ago. Once I got used to it, I've found it easier to carry with me everywhere. Especially on vacation.

Hard backs are nicer no own but paperbacks are much easier to handle for me

message 11: by Brittney (new)

Brittney Ballard | 2 comments paperbacks for me all the way. it is much more comfortable to read and personally I am a sucker for worn books. gives them more character that way ;)

message 12: by Betty (new)

Betty Cross (bettycross) | 70 comments Paperbacks because they are lighter and cheaper, but Ebooks are even better in both respects. I seldom buy a paper-based book any more, for both reasons, and because an Ebook takes up NO additional storage space.
