okay, something was up with my library......all the physical copy of the books have somehow disappeared I guess - so my ebook copy finally came through

That's okay with me. I have a ton of library books that all came in at once so going slow works for me. I will probably start around Friday. Trying to play catch up right now.

I changed it to Friday. My internet server was down all day yesterday. Talk about frustrating! I was like a teenager without a cell phone. LOL

I am indifferent to Dmitri at the moment. I do like Adrian, but not sure if I want him with Rose. (hide spoiler)]

Rose (view spoiler)[while I did find the scene amusing where she escaped from the hotel I was getting annoyed with her constantly trying to get away and want to help her friends clear her name. Rose's friends are already in a trouble for helping her escape she needs to stay hidden and let them work on finding who did kill the Queen. I am glad that she thought of an idea that could help though. Finding Lissa's sibling will help and that is something that Rose and Dmitri can hopefully do while staying hidden. (hide spoiler)]

Lissa (view spoiler)[those are some messed up rules that would allow her to be nominated for Queen, but can never take the position if she wins. I think finding the sibling will eliminate that rule. I like how much Lissa is wanting to protect Rose and seeing Christian help is nice. (hide spoiler)]

Sydney (view spoiler)[this is an interesting location that she has taken Rose and Dmitri to hide. I am curious to see more of these vampires. (hide spoiler)]

I hope I can remember the characters. It's been quite a while since I read it!

Rose (view spoiler)[she is still getting on my nerves with her determination to run into trouble to help her friends. Her friends are already in danger from helping her break out of prison she needs to stay hidden and let them clear her name. It would be hard to do that but she isn't helping matters by trying to be a hero. I also wish she would make up her mind about Dmitir and Adrian. I would hate to see her cheat on Adrian. Dmitri (view spoiler)[it's sad to see him struggle with the memories of when he was a Strigoi. He is haunted by them, it's nice to see Rose help him try to find peace and help him learn that he is not the monster he thinks he is. I hated seeing him as Strigoi, but he is not like that when he is truly himself and I would like him to have peace. (hide spoiler)]

Lissa (view spoiler)[I would hate going through a royal nomination process as well, but it's a good plan to cause a distraction to have more time to clear Roses name. I am still trying to figure out who did kill the Queen. (hide spoiler)]

I struggled with this one. It started out okay, but it just started to drag. I think this book was longer than it needed to be.

Rose (view spoiler)[she annoyed me this whole book. Constantly causing chaos and running into danger putting her friends at risk by not willing to stay hidden while they tried to clear her name. I hated what she did to Adrian, she didn't deserve him, but the way she cheated on him was awful. I also found it childish the way she tried to justify the cheating. (hide spoiler)]

I am glad to be finally finished with this series. At this point I don't think I will read the spinoff.

I agree with everything you guys said, but I gave it a 3. You know I'm easier than you are at giving stars, Trisha. LOL I do wish I had loved it! But I'm glad that I finished it.

I did hear from a couple others in another group that Bloodlines is a better series, so I might read it.
