Do you prefer to read book series, or a stand-alones? I prefer reading series because just one book isn't enough, and I always find myself wanting more.

Danielle (booklover_04) I think it depends on the book. Sometimes, authors tend to turn stand-alones into series which usually ends up ruining it for me. But I like both :D

Same here. It all depends on the author and the book.

Julie B Campbell I like a series more. I like that I can keep finding out what happens to the characters I like. Sometimes when I really enjoy a book, but it's a stand-alone, I'm sad when it's done. I don't want the story to stop.

I totally agree. I also like getting to know more about the characters and I like how authors can hve this big even complicated story where everything is connected in a series. Many stand-alones are good but I prefer series.

I feel the same. I love it when the series stays good for many books so the story can get more complex (as you said). That would be hard to do in a single book without making it massive. Books that are too big are too uncomfortable to read, so it's better to have lots of reasonable sized ones.
