Jess (jesmy777) Okay bitches. We need some new books for next month. I think we will stick with just one book for the rest of the year (yas/no?).

I'd like some graphic novels and/or something challenging, but unique.

What about Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi? It's supposed to be good. Have you guys read Caramelo by Sandra Cisneros? It's a good read for a glimpse into Hispanic literature and storytelling.

And one book is totally fine.

That one is on my list for this year! It looks excellent.

Thank you! You are much more versed than I!

We might have to toss The Walking Dead in the poll.

I found all of my Sandman books the other night and am really wanting to read those again now.

I'm good with just one book.

I suggest The Golem and the Jinni.

message 6: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Vitale 1 book sounds good to me. I've never read a graphic novel, but I'm game.

message 7: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Vitale Victoria, I've never heard this book, but I looked it up and it sounds fascinating. I'll read it with you even if no one else will. For what it's worth, I found it on Gutenberg for free: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5267

Michelle | 45 comments I read Boy, Snow, Bird, and it lost me with the last 50 pages. I was angered by that ending.

message 9: by Kate (new)

Kate (xoxo_kate) | 2 comments I've been wanting to read Ursula Le Guin for awhile; I know its not a graphic novel and may not be challenging (never read her before), but I thought maybe I would throw it out there. Maybe Left Hand of Darkness?

This is my first post so my ontd name is factorywannabe :)

Rosalyn (rosalynhummel) I've been interested in reading Saga, Rat Queens, and Sex Criminals so I second those suggestions!

Jess (jesmy777) This is last year's thread. Suggestion posts usually go up around the 15th. Just add these ro that when it goes up. I won't look anywhere else. :)
