As they arrived at the house, Fox felt a uncertain feeling wash over him. This wasn't safe. Of course it isn't safe, we're stealing. Still, something was off. Running a hand through his ebony curly hair that fell just above his shoulders, he zipped up his jacket and walked beside Pheonix. "So, where's the window located, which one?" He asked, this was a big house. He knew he didn't belong here, anyone could tell that.
Phoenix glanced over at Fox and gave him a little grin.
"Hey, stop looking so worried. We're the Phoenix and the Fox, there's no way we can get caught." She nudged him playfully, but it was easy to see the tension on her face too. House break-ins were not something to be taken lightly. But winter was upon them, and extra blankets, candles and medicine were all going to be needed for the next few months. They needed the money.
"It's right there." She whispered softly, pointing to window on the side of the house There was a tree right next to it which made climbing up to it easier.
"Well, there's no going back now."

Fox merely quirked a suspicious eyebrow at Phoenix but said nothing. He prayed to... whatever was out there that she wouldn't do soemthing idiotic that would get them caught by the police. He also prayed that no guard dogs or dog that yipped alot would be anywhere in that house. As he climbed behind her, Fox now had no intention of going back. As she started talking he cupped a habd over her mouth before swiftly opening a window and entering in a hallway with doors on both walls.
Phoenix forced her muscles to relax as she crouched next to Fox. There was no point in being nervous, it wouldn't stop them from getting caught. Once they were in the house she offered Fox a quick smile for opening the window so quietly and then gestured to the stairs. Most of the stuff they could sell would be in bedrooms. She gestured to herself and to the bedroom on the left of the stairs and then gestured to him and pointed to the other one. The stairs creaked under her weight a bit and she froze before scampering up the stairs quickly, not making another noise. Glancing back at Fox she gave him a quick salute and than disappeared into the room.
As he slipped into the room, he was absolutely disgusted with what he saw. What the hell type of house was this!? Who owned an entire room a leashes and sex toys. Did he step into the 50 shades of Grey movie?!!!?! More like 50 shades of No thanks. Trying his hardest not to gag, Fox searched around the room lifting up the occasional disgusting thing or two. There was nothing in here. Noting except regrets. Did little Timmy know about this room? Sliding down into the right room this time, Fox thought he hit the jackpot. A bathroom. A bathroom that connected to the rest of the house, the master bathroom. In there was jewelry box. Filled with rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Phoenix slipped into the room, eyes quickly scanning what lay before her. A room with a king sized bed lay before. She was half tempted to steal the blankets, but that would be way too noticeable. Instead she started looking through the drawers. There were a few little things like earrings and a necklace. The necklace looked really expensive but after years of experience, she could tell that it was just a cheap plastic thing with metal coating. She wouldn't get much for it at the pawn shop. She carefully opened another door that lead onto a bathroom. Something moved in the corner and Phoenix practically jumped out of her skin, until she realized it was just Fox.
"You scared me to death!" She hissed fiercely at him, scowling.

Looking around, Fox searched with a small keychain flashlight for something valuable. Anything that could get them alot of money. Though as he heard someone open the door, he immediately moved towards a corner. Sucking in any air that might've let the owners know there was one more person than need be in the house. As Phoenix started whispering, Fox gave a sharp glare at her before covering her mouth with his hand once again. Taking it off, he went back to searching. Anything Willy would take, he'd give. Then he noticed. The jewelry box itself. It was made out of mahagony wood and had 24K Gold lining and engraved in the box. Puting on gloves, Fox carefully removed the jewelry from the box leaving some earings in there to be traded as well.
Phoenix noticed what Fox was doing and shook her head, eyes wide. Was he crazy? If anyone was bound to notice something was stolen, it would be the super expensive jewelry box. Some things were easy to take, the owners of them could have just as easily misplaced the item or lost it, but a jewelry box was different, you couldn't just loose it. Suddenly she turned around towards the stairs, her breath caught in her throat. The sound of a lock clicking and the quiet chatter of warm voices reached her and she looked back at Fox with a panicked look on her face.
As he thought about it, he realised that maybe only the contents of the box would be worth selling. Though he still wanted to keep the gift box, it reminded him of an object in his past. He didn't know what but he saw it. Though as he heard the door open her turned towards Phoenix who currently had a panicked expression upon her face. Fox had done this before, it was quite simple to hide actually. They were in a bathroom, there were windows. Granted they were on the second floor but, they'd make it. Kicking the window open Fox literally gave her the jewelry picked Phoenix up and threw her out the window, fast in persuit.
Phoenix instinctively rolled as she hit the ground, protecting their stolen items with her body. Despite the fact that they had hit grass, they had still made a bit of a racket and she grabbed Fox by the hand, pulling him along down the streets until they reached a little dead-ended back alley. She stopped there to catch her breath before smiling at Fox. She didn't like it when she needed other peoples help, but she was glad that he had helped her out, or she would have been done for.
"Thanks." She managed to say, leaning back against a brick wall.

As Fox hit the freshly cut lawn, he felt a strong force dragging him somewhere. He realised it was a hand, and the only logical explanation was Phoenix. As he allowed her to drag him, he probably realised they appeared as very suspicious towards anyone who was looking at them. Maybe not for thievery but just suspicious in general. Fox caught his breath after giving himself a break as he leaned against the wall. "Don't go alone when you steal. It's idiotic and you'll get caught." He didn't give a warm smile or a 'Your welcome' in return. Fox just wasn't one to do such things, it made him appear as a jack*ss.
Phoenix glowered angrily at him, her smile disappearing.
"I've never gotten caught before. I would've been fine." She growled, pretending to be busy with checking to make sure that all of their stuff was still in one piece.
"Can't you take my gratitude and not have to tell me that i'm an idiot?" She muttered in disgust, slipping the jewelry box into her satchel and then began to walk back in the direction of The Stellar. He wasn't wrong, most people never did house break-ins on their own, but she wasn't in the mood for criticism, especially not by some guy she had basically just met.

"Uh huh." As she started checking the satchel, Fox went inside a store to get two 5 dollar meals. Shoving her one he quirked am eyebrow at the girl. "Here's my graditude. If it wasn't for you I'd be out lf a reading light. Thanks." Truth be told he'd read that book multiple times, and knew every page word by word, but he got the feeling if he didn't do something she wouldn't shut up. "This is me being nice, take it or leave it, either way I'm getting food."
Phoenix didn't want to let him win this argument, but she wasn't one to decline food either. A frown was still apparent on her face but she started eating quickly, gulping down food like she hadn't eaten in days. Which, was almost the truth. Most of the stuff she had stolen had been used to save up for medicine and other more important stuff.
"I'm gonna go to Lewis's and pawn some of the stuff tomorrow. He's smart enough to know to keep it off the shelves for a little while at least." She informed Fox through a mouthful of food.

"Sounds like a plan to me." She sjghed while shrugging abd taking a bit of his sandwich. While the other kids were out stealing, Fox stayed in an read. Targeting people who he thought were rich, and powerful. Pickpocketing them, and stealing from their houses. It was more like a strategy game than it was survival. Of course he found it important, but he didn't like making things so serious. Ruined the fun.
"So, how'd a bookworm like you end up at The Stellar?" Phoenix asked, licking mustard from her fingers. Many kids didn't like to talk about their past, or how they ended up at The Stellar, so most people learned not to ask about it. She herself didn't like talking about her past, but that didn't stop her from asking others about theirs.
"My parents were shot when I was three. I arrived when I was five years old." Throwing away his food, Fox ran a hand through his midnight hair. "Shall we go now? It's getting colder and I'm still babysitting." He shrugged off gazes and judgements. This was how Fox worked. A simple man really, he did his job, took care of himself and others, and didn't share anything about himself. Some called him socially retarded, some called him a dipsh*t, others called him mysterious. But, he just knew his boundaries, and kept people out of them.
Phoenix listened with an interested look on her face. He talked about like he was explaining a math problem or something. Easily, un-emotionally and with no hesitation. She wasn't sure if that meant he was tough, or he was so sensitive that he had just trained himself to be blank when it came to emotions around his story. She finished her food quickly, shoving the last few bites of food into her mouth.
"Aren't you so grown up." She teased, but she knew he was right. Leaving a bunch of kids on their own was never a good idea, even if they were like 10 times smarter than the average kid. Getting up she hugged her jacket tighter around her and started walking back to The Stellar, not waiting for Fox.

((Okay, I'd like to rp with them again though they seem like a good friendship for right now))
