Xwft | 388 comments Cassie sat staring at the book in front of her. She was bored, so very bored. She was meant to be in math right now, but she couldn't be bothered going so just went to the cafeteria instead. She had many text books spreed out messily on the table in front of her to make it look like she was doing something, though she was really just day dreaming. All her friends where in class so she had no one to talk to. She didn't want to leaving know her Math teacher would be looking for her. He didn't like her, at all. Beside weeding the garden was not how she wanted to spend her afternoon. However any teacher that walked in would see her out of uniform, so she could get called out on that. To be honest though she couldn't care less. Her navy blue top and black skirt was much more comfy than any silly uniform. Muttering a few words to herself, Cassie picked up her pencil and started defacing one of her many math text books. She might have needed it later but she couldn't care less. What good would it to her to know that X apparently equals 9. In what world she didn't know, but knowing that fact seemed irrelevant to her.

Max | 127 comments James couldn't help smile like an idiot as he walked into the cafeteria. He was just so relieved that it was study hall that he couldn't stop smiling. His day consisted of a test in almost every single subject and needless to say, he hadn't studied for them all. It wasn't that he was trying to be a bad student, but even after getting used to a classroom environment he hated being cooped up behind a desk. He didn't understand why teachers thought it was a good idea to keep a bunch of teenagers stuck in one spot for so long, it definitely didn't make them learn any better. Hefting his bag onto one thin shoulder he got himself an apple and then sat down at one of the empty tables. Despite the fact that he should have been studying like a madman, he was rather distracted by a girl sitting a few tables away. It wasn't actually her face that distracted him (although he had to admit, she was cute), but more that she wasn't wearing a uniform. Most kids didn't have the nerve to go out of uniform, much less in the middle of the cafeteria. James had considered it a few times, but he didn't have the luxury of being able to get into trouble. He needed to do well in school since he didn't have any safety net to fall back on if he didn't.

Xwft | 388 comments Cassie didn't try to read their minds, but when someones thinking about you it's kind of hard to miss. One boy one girl both walking in at around the same time. She stopped herself before she actually saw anything but was now well aware of their presence. Finishing off one of her many, not very artistes, drawings, Cassie looked up. Flicking her long hair out her face, Cassie turned to face the boy, the other girl had gone off making little to no eye contact so she wasn't going to both trying to talk to her. Swinging her feet over the side of the seat, Cassie stood up letting her hair cascade in thick auburn waves down her back. Her skirt fell down past her knees flowing gently as she stood. Some spots caught the light making the little gold and silver embroidered pattern on it shine. "Hey boy my eyes are up here." She called out once she realized he was looking at her not to her. The few people in the cafeteria looked up, curious to what was going on. Cassie didn't mind the attention, even if it was briefly. However she didn't know who much the boy would like her calling him out. Particularly because he wasn't doing anything wrong. Many people looked at her when she was out of school uniform. It seemed to be a natural reaction. She wasn't doing something normal we all need to look at her.

Max | 127 comments James glanced up momentarily when another girl sat down on the far side of his table. He gave her a smile before returning his gaze back down to his bag for a quick second, pulling out some of his work. He respected that she might not want to talk but that didn't stop him from being friendly. He had always been what he liked to call a social introvert. He loved to talk and was often pretty loud, but he also needed time to rest after social interactions. His focus was once again dragged away by the girl sitting at the other table, but this time, she called him out for it. He blushed brightly, dipping his head down so he was staring at the page, hoping no one could see his face. Thanks to his pale skin a small blush made him look as red as a tomato. After a second he looked back up at the girl and placed a smile on his face. Her clothing seemed to shimmer in the light and he had trouble concentrating on her face.
"And may I just say. You're eyes are quite beautiful." He answered cheerfully to her taunt. James didn't have a good first impression of this girl already, but he always tried to be kind, no matter what.

message 6: by Xwft (new)

Xwft | 388 comments Cassie smiled as he tried to stop staring at her. She wasn't helping by standing in the one spot of sun light there was. Even though he hid it she still noticed the blush on his face. He was extremely pale but for some reason it worked on him. "All right nothing to see here." She told the others. There weren't that may people in here but those who were went back to what the were doing. She walked over to him moving form the sun. "James isn't it." She said sliding down beside him. She hadn't talked to him much if not ever but she had seem him around. Out of everyone in the school he was the one she had her eye on. He was hot even if he was unusually pale. She had never talked to him being she never saw him much. However now that he noticed her she would take this opportunity to talk.

message 7: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James wasn't quite sure what to say, or do beside continue to stare at her. He busied himself with jotting down some numbers from his math work, trying not to be too interested in the girl standing in front of him. Of course, that was awfully hard when she sat down next to him. Realizing that there was no way he could ignore her he set his pencil back down and looked the girl in the eye. He knew her, not by name but he knew that she ran with the 'popular' group of kids. He wasn't sure if he liked girls like that, but he couldn't ignore the fact that she was really, really, hot.
"Yeah. What's it to you?" He asked in answer to when she asked about his name. He tried to keep his voice bored and uninterested, but he was a naturally nice person and he knew he wouldn't be able to keep up the act of being all cool for long.

message 8: by Xwft (new)

Xwft | 388 comments If it was one thing Cassie didn't like it was being ignored. Especially if she was talk to them. And Especially if they way he was distracting himself was with math. "Hey you were the one looking at me not the other way around." She said flicking her hair back out her eyes. She had it in a lose ponytail but was seriously considering plaiting it. "But at lest I know your name. I bet you don't know mine." She challenged. Most people knew of her but had never talked to her. She put her feet up on the seat next to her. She looked over the work he was doing instead of talking to her. None of it she understood. It was all just a bunch on numbers on a page. Mind you that was all math was, number in order on a page. "Why do you bother doing this?" She asked genuinely curious. She had left all her work back on the table she was previously sitting at. She would get it later, if she could be bothered. Right now she was busy talking.

Max | 127 comments ((Yeah, sorry. so you, me, Xwft? Does that sound good?))

James sighed and rolled his eyes with a boyish smile on his face.
"You got me. I was trying not to seem too interested in why you think it's a good idea to go out of uniform. Although, I must admit, it's very glamorous." He gave her a good-natured look and gestured to her to her choice of clothing. Glancing back at his work when she mentioned it, he shook his head, still smiling brightly.
"Well, I don't really have a choice. But honestly, math sucks." He answered, chuckling. He wasn't bad at it, but he wasn't great at it either and often facing a math problem was the scariest thing he had to do every day. Sometimes just none of it made sense at all.
"I mean, it's better than not doing it at all." He said, glancing teasingly at the pile of math work she had obviously not done at her table.

Xwft | 388 comments ((Sorry, sometimes I get a bit carried away. Yup that works for me. I apologize in advance if i break that pattern.))

As James talked Cassie saw another girl walk past. The same one that she had noticed her before. She caught the eye roll the girl gave her and repaid her with a quick glare. She didn't like people that like that, they annoyed her. If they didn't like her either tell it to her face or don't say anything. Of coarse She would find out what they thought one way or another, but that was beside the point. Turning her full attention back to James, Cassie grinned back, making a mental note that he was both hot and sweet. "Name's Cassie." She said with a slight laugh. "Well, what exactly can they make me do for not wearing a uniform? Tell me to go put it back on. Give me detention. Make me weed the garden. Not much effects me." She pointed out. It was true though. There wasn't much they could do. Most teachers gave up and just got used to her wearing not uniform clothes. "Do you like? Or is it to 'glamorous' for you?" She asked holding her hands out to the side so he could see her dark sparkly painted nails and the picture on her top. She also realized her ring was on full show, normally she didn't like showing that off. She got to many questions about why she had it, and that annoyed her. Yet in this case she didn't really have a choice so just went with it. It wasn't like she was going to go out her way to change her outfit right now. But maybe tomorrow she would dull down on the shiny things. "Now I can agree with you there Math does suck. But you do have a choice. If i'm being honest I'm meant to be in math class right now. And as you can see i'm defiantly in math." She said a slightly playful hit to her tone a cheeky smile on her face. As she let James think about her words she glanced back at the girl to see if she was still watching them. She almost wondered if the girl wanted to talk to James but she had go there first. Now that she was there the other girl didn't want to come up. Cassie shrugged. It wasn't like she was going to move and stop talking to James just because someone was annoyed that she was doing so.

Max | 127 comments ((Lizzy's math question is stressing me out. That's what we're doing in math class right now))
"Well, Cassie. With all the magical earth kids in this school, weeding the garden could be impossible." He gave her a devilish grin and raised an eyebrow a little bit. He was very proud of his ability to raise an eyebrow, as he hadn't been able to do it when he was younger. Never in his life had he concentrated on learning how to do something than when he was learning from his brother Theo how to raise an eyebrow. Leaning back slightly he looked at her outfit with a critical look on his face, but it was playful.
"I don't think i'd ever wear something like that, but a pretty girl like you can pull it off." He grinned and winked at her. He did notice that she wore a very interesting looking ring and filed away that information into the back of his mind in case he could find a good time to ask a question about it. After giving her nail polish a long look he smiled again.
"But you do have to teach me how to do my nails like that." He held up his own nails which were a very ugly colour of purple, the result of letting a 5 year old paint his nails. When she said that he did have a choice he had to give a little self-satisfied smirk. So he had been right the first time he had seen her. She was a rich kid who didn't need to study, cause she had something to fall back on if she failed all of her classes.
"Well, I do have a choice... If I wanted to totally ruin my life." He smirked slightly.
"Oh... actually that would be great!" He said cheerfully to the other girl who had offered to help with his math work. He honestly didn't want to study, or work at all but he needed to get a good mark in this class and he was willing to get as much help as he could.

Xwft | 388 comments ((And i don't even know what the question is asking of me XD. The one thing I agree with Cassie on is that Math sucks and makes no sense.))

Cassie glanced to the girl amazed she had actually talked. Why did people deem it necessary to interrupted her conversions. Especially with someone like James. She had come up with a slight plan but now this girl had interrupted her before she could say it. "And I came here to get out of math." She muttered under her breath."Other than Math what is your less favorite subject. Think about it." She said to James dropping her voice so only he could hear. "Fine teach us math." She said turning around to face the girl. She said it slightly to harsh then was really necessary but couldn't really help it. She stood, moving over to collect her stuff, before plopping down beside James. She got her text book and pencil out but new she would end up defacing this one as well. She couldn't stay focused in math, even if she tried. Not that she had tried.

message 14: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James gave Cassie a bit of a disapproving look. He didn't care who you were or where you came from, you deserved to be treated with respect. He wasn't surprised by her tone though, popular kids were like that sometimes. They thought that everyone who didn't run with them was beneath them. So he decided to just ignore her question, tune out her whining and focus on the other girl in front of him at the moment. She seemed nice enough, although a little bit more on the quiet side as it would seem.
"James. Pleasure to meet you." He grinned at her, glancing back momentarily to look at Cassie and make sure she wasn't doing anything rude.
"So, do you really think you can teach math to two hopeless kids like us?"

message 15: by Xwft (last edited Dec 14, 2017 12:16AM) (new)

Xwft | 388 comments ((Well no Homework yet. Next year I think i will find out the hardship of not getting a break from school. But it's ok Kat everyone has their moments. You get the point across and give us enough to go off so it's fine :-) ))

Cassie caught the girls glare but not James's look being completely oblivious to the fact he was slightly annoyed at her. She glared back almost daring the girl to pick a fight with her, not thinking she would be able to win. However Cassie didn't move, stilling having more to say and do. She let James take the girls hand but still offered her name not waning to be called her, she or it. "I'm Cassie." She said simply, her British accent coming through in those few simple words. No 'Pleasure to meet you' or anything. She didn't see the need in formal introductions. Yes you met someone, good job, But you might regret it after therefore it wouldn't have been a 'pleasure' to met them. Keeping one ear on their conversation, Cassie picked up her pencil and started doodling on her book. Slowly filling in all the blank spaces random with swirls. What Cassie mouthed noticing Jame's looking at her. She hadn't said anything or done anything. She might have been staring at the other girl, or Lizzy, a bit but it wasn't like she was plotting to kill her.

message 16: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James was not impressed with Cassie's cold attitude, but didn't want to get her annoyed, since he had only just met her and she was pretty cute. When she mouthed the word what to him he just rolled his eyes and smiled at Lizzy again.
"Uh...everything?" He said sheepishly, smiling. Looking back over at Cassie he grabbed his pencil and drew a smiley face in the center of the swirls and wrote down "we love math!" beside it. Grinning he then slid his own notebook over so Lizzy could look at it with him. James wasn't bad at math, but after a point his brain just didn't seem to function anymore when it saw numbers. He felt bad asking for help from Lizzy, but she had been the one to offer assistance so he figured she didn't mind.

message 17: by Xwft (last edited Dec 17, 2017 07:16PM) (new)

Xwft | 388 comments Cassie laughed quietly at Jame's reply. She couldn't help but agree, that would have been her response if she was asked that question. She continued her doodles but stopped when James leaned over pencil in hand. She tilted her head to the side wondering what he was doing. His hand blocked her view so she couldn't see what he was drawing. However she didn't stop him. In fact she like it. She thoroughly inspected the new drawing in her book once he pulled away. It was in no shape artistic but it got the point across. Cassie bit her lip smothering her laughter. She gently nudged him saying, without words, that she like his new addition to her book. Adding another thing to her list, he was hot, sweet and funny. She was tempted to draw something on Jame's book but guess he probably wanted to keep it readable so decided against it. Instead she went back to her doodles keeping one ear on their math conversation in case she heard something relevant to her. Though she didn't put in her thoughts in, she just let them talk while she drew.

message 18: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James couldn't help but smile when Cassie nudged his arm gently and he gave her an innocent, not so innocent wink. Cassie may have been a little bit snobby, but she did have a good sense of humor. Grinning he looked back at his math book and his face became serious immediately. He needed to get a good mark in this class.
"That makes so much sense!" His face lit up with delight as everything just clicked into place. It was actually really satisfying when a math problem finally made sense to him.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He grinned widely at Lizzy.
"Aren't you a genius!" James gave her an admiring look and tilted his head slightly, looking at the equation she had just solved.

message 19: by Xwft (new)

Xwft | 388 comments As James went back to talking numbers, Cassie got bored, very bored. There was only so much boredom relief doodling on a text book could offer. Beside she had already covered most of this book in swirls and random lines so she was running out of paper. Yes she had many other books but she couldn't be bothered. Cassie huffed shutting her book slightly loud than she could have. She scowled slight when James gave the other girl an admiring look. She didn't know why it annoyed her. But it did. Now she normally didn't try to read minds nut she was curious as to why the girl had helped them when she seemed so not talkative. And what she thought of James. Beside she promised herself she would go to far plus she might learn some thing. Closing her eyes Cassie began looking around in Lizzys mind for anything the interested her.

message 20: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James quietly began working on another problem, using what Lizzy had just taught him. It still wasn't easy, but it made a lot more sense now than it had before. After finishing a few more questions he glanced back over at Cassie when she slammed her book shut with a bang. Obviously, unlike him, she actually hated math and wasn't just bad at it. There seemed to be only two ways to be with math, you either hated it or loved it, nothing in between. James didn't hate it though, he just wasn't great at it.
"Cas, I know that you might find math boring, but sleeping is going a little too far." He said in a bored voice before chuckling. Cassie had closed her eyes and he wasn't quite sure what was going through her mind at the moment. Smiling sheepishly at Lizzy he shrugged slightly.
"I really appreciate it, even though Cassie might not."

message 21: by Xwft (last edited Dec 15, 2017 04:42PM) (new)

Xwft | 388 comments Cassies eyes snapped open. She blinked rapidly a few times trying to clear her head. It wasn't Jame's comment that had startled her it was Lizzys thoughts. She hadn't meant to find that out. She hadn't meant to go that deep into her thoughts. But what was done was done and now she knew. She had found want she wanted yes. She noticed they way she liked James praise. And the fact she didn't exsactly know why she helped. But what else she had found out was not what she meant to do. It was all so vivid and clear, Like Lizzy remembered every tiny detail. She gave Lizzy a half sympathetic half horrified look. But quickly covered it with a grin when she changed her focus to what James had said. "Yes math is boring but I wasn't sleeping, I was just resting my eyes." She said know they were pretty much the same thing. She didn't address Lizzy as she went to her seat, still not quite knowing what to say. She dug around in her bag until she found her phone. With a quite time check, Cassie realized it was 10:45 meaning it was almost next period. "Eh Science." Cassie moaned once cheeking her time table. Science was ok but had to much math involved. "What you got next period?" She asked Jame wondering if she could convince him to skip it with her. She wanted to try get him to skip one class just so he knew he had a choice whether or not he went.

message 22: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James was too busy with another math problem to notice Cassie's look of horror or the look of confusion on Lizzy's face. He didn't even look up from his book when Cassie asked him a question.
"Hmmm? Oh, science. Why?" He said absentmindedly tapping his pen against his lips as he regarded his next equation carefully. After a long moment he scribbling something down and closed his book with a victorious smile.
"Oh, yeah! It was nice meeting you Lizzy. Thanks for the help." He grinned at her as she got up to leave and watched her as she hurried from the room. She was definitely an interesting person. Once she was gone he turned to look over at Cassie and raised an eyebrow.
"I'm guessing you're not going to science then?" He asked, taking a bite of his apple.

message 23: by Xwft (last edited Dec 16, 2017 03:14PM) (new)

Xwft | 388 comments "Because everyone has science this period, lucky us." Cassie laughed when both Lizzy and James said they had science. "Yup see you around." Cassie said waving goodbye to Lizzy. She had slightly more respect for the girl after seeing what she went through. After Lizzy left, Cassie looked back to her phone calling up her contacts list and already starting to text someone. She keapt an ear on James but was waiting until he finished his math problem to speak. "You know me to well." She said once he finally finished his math. he didn't bother elaborating on why she wasn't going. She had other questions in mind. "How about you." She asked looking up at him from what she was writing. "You going to go. do you really like science enough to go." She said pushing send on the text she was writing. She had ideas. She might even call Lizzy back. That girl didn't need to go through the stress of science after what she had already been through. However if she tried to call her back she might freak out. Telepathy was not the best way to talk to someone, especially of the didn't know you could do it. But it was the only way she could contacted Lizzy.

Max | 127 comments James raised an eyebrow when Cassie waved back to Lizzy. He didn't need any powers to be able to feel the shift in Cassie's feelings about Lizzy. At first, she had obviously been annoyed when he had started talking to the other girl, but now she almost seemed to have a look of respect on her face. He didn't really understand how her feelings towards Lizzy could have changed without them even talking to each other. Not that he was complaining, if he was going to be hanging out with these girls (which he really hoped he was) he didn't want them to hate each other. Shrugging slightly he took another bite of his apple and chewed thoughtfully.
"I'm not going to let you corrupt me just yet. I'm going to class." He gave her a smirk and picked up his stuff, shoving it into his bag. Seeing as he was already late for class, he really needed to hurry.

((I know it would be more interesting if he skipped with her, but that would be really out of character for him. So, it might take her a while to convince him,))

Max | 127 comments James smiled back at her when she giggled. Making people laugh was one of the greatest things he could do in his life. There was nothing more satisfying than making someone smile or laugh.
"I like pretty much anything" He replied when she asked about the curry. Once they were sitting he began to wolf down his food before realizing that he probably looked like a total slob and slowed down a bit.
"So, how long have you been here?" He asked after swallowing a mouthful of curry.

message 33: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James leaned back in his chair and yawned.
"Three years! I've only been here for one." He exclaimed before taking another forkful of rice. He noticed her forlorn expression and raised an eyebrow.
"Home life isn't great huh?" He asked gently.

message 34: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James listened attentively, not moving, as though he was afraid he would scare Lizzy away. He didn't know her that well, but from what he had seen by now she seemed a bit like a butterfly. Sweet and beautiful, but fragile and tough to catch. That intrigued him a bit, and he wanted to help her.
"Oh." he breathed softly once she finished talking.
"Well, I guess it's better now though right? I mean, you get to be around people who like you for everything you are. Powers or no powers." He smiled gently at her, food totally forgotten.

message 35: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James was quiet as he listened to her before grimacing slightly. Life was tough on foster kids, that was one of the reasons he had been so careful not to get caught by the police or anything.
"What's my family like?" James chuckled. That was an interesting question.
"Well, I never knew my parents. I lived with my brother and a few of his friends for a while until I moved here." He knew that wasn't the whole story, not even close, but he didn't want to explain the whole gang thing an all. That just made it more complicated and hard to understand.

message 36: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments ((Huh? Elizabeth... meaning Lizzy?))

James smiled softly. He missed his brother more than anything. In reality, Theo wasn't his brother at all and they looked nothing alike, but in James's mind, he was even closer than James's blood family.
"Yeah, I miss him a lot. He's amazing." He murmured softly. At the mention of Cassie's powers he looked up and grinned.
"Terrifying. Super cool, but totally terrifying." He admitted, smiling. He wasn't sure how he felt about her being able to read his thoughts, but that didn't stop it from being super cool.
"What did you think about it?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

message 37: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments "No one in the school is supposed to know? I'm intrigued. James said, raising an eyebrow. He would have been a bit more sensitive about it if he had actually known what this secret was, but for the moment he didn't think it was anything serious. He finally remembered the food and finished up his curry before copying Lizzy and putting his tray in the proper spot.

message 38: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James immediately realized that he had said something wrong, and flushed brightly as he tried to figure out exactly what. She looked distinctly uncomfortable at the moment and he frowned with concern.
"Oh... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to pressure you or anything." He said sincerely. He had thought it would be able something silly, like a crush or something, but it was obviously more serious than that.
"You don't have to tell me." He added, just in case she still felt like he was trying to get something out of her. He checked his watch and realized she was right, and that the next class was starting soon.
"Yeah. I should get to class too." He mumbled.

message 39: by Max (new)

Max | 127 comments James nodded slightly to show her that he really was okay with her not telling him. James understood having secrets, although her particular one was worse than most.
"Oh, I have my homeroom. Doesn't everyone have homeroom after lunch?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He had also noticed her blush and smiled slightly, even though she obviously didn't want him to see it.

Shoving someone out the way, Cassie walked into the cafeteria looking around for Lizzy or James. She was in a bad mood. Smug for being able to teach Freea a lesson and she had started spreading her lies many other latching onto the gossip and sharing it around. But her body still hurt from the water attack putting her in a fowl mood. She had changed outfits to a dry pair and now walking around in a peach colouerd single shoulder top with blue jean shorts her hair cascading freely down her back. And just for the fun she busted out her heels so walked around in dark navy blue lace up heels. Now she was towering over all the other students her glare making them all avoid her. "James, Lizzy hi." She said finally spotting them. Striding towards them Cassie stopped in front of them hands on hips left leg sticking out slightly to the side. "How you doing?" She asked in a bitter sweet tone. "What are we doing now?" She asked seeing they were already moving to go somewhere.

Max | 127 comments James sighed, he had really hoped that Lizzy might have been in the same homeroom as him so they could talk some more. But he figured he would probably see her soon anyways.
"Yeah. I'll see you later!" He smiled brightly at Lizzy and then heard a sound he hadn't heard in a very long time. It was the click of high heels. Some of the teachers still wore them but there wouldn't be any teachers around right now. That could only mean one person, Cassie. He watched her come towards them with a bit of a shocked look on his face, which he quickly hid with a smile. He had to admit, she looked hot. Although, he would never tell that to her face.
"We're doing just fine." He said, grinning at her.
"Well, we are going to class, but I doubt you would want to join us." He added to answer her second question.

((Hey, ummmm, I think I'll pull Freea out of this rp and let Cassie and James have a few chats. Maybe Freea could've been a lot more interested in having that conversation with Ian? But if you guys need Freea lemme know.))

Xwft | 388 comments Cassie opened her mouth to reply when Lizzy darted away. "Typical." Cassie muttered. "Asks a question then leaves without answer." She grumbled. Not that she really wanted to explain where Freea was. She didn't plan to bring Freea up in this conversation if she didn't have to. She would let her rumors spreed and by word of ear James and Lizzy would find out. After all it was her word against Freeas and she had a feeling both James and Lizzy trusted her more. Sighing as Lizzy ran from sight Cassie turned to James. She grinned but it was forced but she didn't care. By now Jame must have noticed Cassie was in a bit of a mood, and not a good one either. "Wow good guess." She said menace amounts of sarcasm in the one sentence. That's until she realized who she was talking to. Sighting, Cassie tried to force herself to soften her tone. "Are we going to class or is Lizzy going to class?" She asked. She guessed the answer would be we but she was going to try anyway. Someday she was going to get him out of class, she would. Like Grease but with reversed genders.

Max | 127 comments James grinned at Lizzy, it was endearing how concerned she was about classes. Although he wasn't exactly the most flippant about theme either.
"Okay! See you later." He watched her run off with a half smile on his face, she definitely an interesting person. Finally he turned back to Cassie and actually took a small step back. James was a pretty sensitive person, and he could feel Cassie's bad mood pretty much coming off of her in waves. But even someone who was woefully unaware of other people would be able to tell that she was not a happy camper.
"She just needed to get to class." James answered in a reasonable tone, giving Cassie a look that sort of said, Seriously, do you have to be rude? When she asked if it was only Lizzy going to class, he rolled his eyes at her.
"I'm going to class." He assured her. There was no way he was going to give in that easily to her, not yet anyways.
"You're welcome to come though. My teacher won't care and anyways, I get to fool around most of the time since controlling ice isn't really like controlling water." He paused and looked her up and down critically.
"That is if you stop frowning like it's the end of the world. What happened with Freea anyways?" He amended his statement before continuing down the hall, walking slowly so Cassie could catch up to him if she wanted to.
