Posted this in the other thread, but I will post here too. :) Happy Thanksgiving! One thing I am thankful for this year is this incredible and supportive group of authors. You make all the struggles that come with being an indie author bearable and make the good times even better!

Happy Holidays/Seasons Greetings to the group and keep on distilling your imagination into writing!

A couple of resolutions for 2018...
- Keep on visiting bookstores to lobby for them to carry my debut literary fantasy; some success so far.
- Where possible, line up signings at bookstores.
- Finish marketing plan.
- Continue chasing potential reviewers who have cred with my readership.
- When any of the above gets tough, wash away frustration with high-end, craft bourbon --

Please add-

Write an article for Indie Author's Monthly, at least twice, and perhaps get on a show for increased visibility.


Did you know our readers, people who actually finish the articles are numbered in the thousands? I'm very proud of the staff and contributors of Indie Author's Monthly.

I just had a bright idea - a rare occurrence. I'd start a Christmas Greetings thread. A quick scroll through and what do I find? Our Carole has beaten me to it with her holidays thread - of course!

I wish all you very special people (and I mean that) a merry Christmas filled with joy, love and a spot of peace. And for 2018? Oak trees.

I want to wish this encouraging and incredible group of authors and readers Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Enjoy time with family and friends. Give them hugs and tell them you love them. Safe travels if you are journeying for the Holidays. I know many of you will be away from GR for a while, so if that is you, see you in 2018!

The UK Mothering Sunday was back in March! But I wish all mothers everywhere the love of their children and grandchildren (and so on!) and a very happy day.
