I think I want to read your friends’ collections.

So my son’s gf heard about this category and lent me a book of poetry called “beautiful CHAOS” by Robert M Drake. I don’t read a lot of poetry so I can’t tell you if it was any good or not. I guess it was ok. It was a very quick read.

I absolutely loved Our Numbered Days by Neil Hilborn. I’m not a big poetry person at all, but I read one of his a few months ago and decided to give it a try.

Conflict Resolution for Holy Beings by Joy Harjo was very good. Now I'm reading Don't Call Us Dead by Danez Smith and it's also very good.

I finished Depression & Other Magic Tricks by Sabrina Benaium and found it solidly okay. Some poems were fantastic, but the majority I "didn't get" or thought were meh.

I chose “81 Famous Poems”. It was filled with classics I loved learning about in high school. However, it did feel more like school work than reading for pleasure. 🤪
