Thank you so very much for everything you've done with these lists over the past few years, Anne! I didn't make a list this year, because I had a feeling it would be a down year reading-wise. I read 50-60 books in 2015 and 2016, but this year I'm lucky if I crack 30. Anyway, it has felt good without restrictions this year. On the other hand it was a lot of fun planning out the lists before, finding books that fit categories etc. I'll see what I'll do next year.
But again, THANK YOU for all the passion, time and energy you put into this. I'm sure you made a bunch of people read a lot more than they would have.
Yes. thank you for all your hard work Anne. It takes a lot of energy keeping a GR group going I know. This is the first group I joined on Goodreads and a great introduction to the community. You made me feel right at home from the beginning.Wishing you every success ; )

You're welcome! Thank you both for your kind words! I'm glad to know I made a difference for a lot of people, and getting people to read more is a big part of my job as a librarian!
What I've learned over the last few years is I enjoy putting the list together, but when it comes to finishing the challenge I lose interest part way through! I originally hoped to read 100 books this year, but changed to the more manageable goal of 75 when it became clear I wasn't going to get to 100. I'm sitting at 76 with a month left in the year, so I will probably make to 80 (or more!).

Thank you Anne!Since I’ve started the reading challenge in this group 2015, I‘ve read 157 books (audiobooks included). That‘s really amazing, because I read about 4-5 books a year before, because they had started to bore me. All those books in my shelves had become so predictable. And then there was you and your challenge: I read books I‘ve never would have taken before. And reading became interesting and exciting again. I don‘t need the categories anymore, the group members posted so many books that made me curious, it‘ll take me years to read. Although I‘ve started using wasted times like driving to work, waiting for the bus, waiting for the doctor, waiting for the traffic jam to end etc. for audiobooks and reading. Now I don‘t hate waiting anymore, because it‘s reading or listening time. Thank you, Anne, yes, in my life you made a big difference!
Thank you for your work these challenges. I did end up reading some books I probably would not have normally and was almost always pleasantly surprised. So thank you for enriching my reading.
Thank you, Anne. These challenges were a lot of fun for me and I read a ton of books I would never have picked up! I've enjoyed the last few years' challenges very much.
Yes thank you! I increased my reading from a couple books a year to over 100 since I joined 3 years ago. I’ll move over to popsugar now but this has been amazing!
If anyone is interested in joining a group on Facebook we could use more active members to share book discussions with. Please feel free https://www.facebook.com/groups/badas.... I sucked this year at my reading goals so hoping for much more success in 2018. As always, thank you Anne for your hardworking these last few years.
Late because life got away from me a bit towards the end of the year but I also want to say thanks Anne for all the work you put into this group over the last few years, I've really enjoyed it even though I mostly lurk :)

I'm sure you're wondering if there will be a new challenge for 2018. I hope there is, but unfortunately it won't be me putting it together this year. I've just got a bit too much on my plate right now.
I encourage you all to create one of your own, or go back to using one like Pop Sugar's challenge (I'm assuming they'll do a new one for 2018).
I'm happy that you've found enjoyment with this group, and that it's carried on as long as it has so far.
Cheers!!!
