Each time you complete a book, you must report it in an individual message in your personal tracking thread. Do not combine books in a message. Each book gets it own. Report each book as follows:
1. Challenge Progress: Identify where you are in the challenge – Badge 1, book 1 (2, 3, 4, etc.)
2. Task – List Zodiac Sign and Category
3. Link to book read. If the cover is part of the task, link the cover of the edition you read as well.
4. If not obvious, state how the book fits the criteria.
5. Specifications required in the task. Some tasks require that you report specific thing. IE – a) The “twins” task is to read a book that has two different titles. You are required to link the alternative title. b) If a task requires that you read a book from a Listopia, you need to identify which page number it was on so that it can be verified.
Sample: Say I’ve read 5 books in the Badge 1 section:
Badge 1, Book 5
Task – Aries, Month
Link – The Violets of March
March in the title.

Listed as Horror on the GR page for the book
Funny, I would not have classified Silence of the Lambs as a horror. It certainly has horrific things happen. But, "horror" is the first genre listed, so you are good to go. It's one of my favourite books, and movie.
Too funny, Janice. Horror is the only genre that has ever come to my mind when this book or the movie is mentioned. I shiver just thinking about reading it. They are both on my NEVER list.
Great job Beth! With Almeta's thread I thought half the year was over. With yours, it feels like three quarters!😉 I'd better start...
The horror genre in my connotation contains an element of supernatural - ghosts, demons, etc. This seems to me to be more psychological thriller or mystery. But, we all have different connotations which is why I've specified that the genre must show on the main book page.

Beth wrote: "Badge 1, Book 8Task: Leo, Symbol
Link Midaq Alley by Naguib Mahfouz
The book takes place in Cairo."
For some reason I never think of Egypt as being part of Africa. I guess it's because of it's proximity to the middle east. But it is.
I think I always think of it as Middle Eastern, as I grew up with bible stories such as Moses. So Egypt was bunched together with those places in my mind: Israel, Judea, Babylon, Persia, Ur, Philistine, etc. I have to really think when I talk about it to remember it's actually (solidly) in Africa.

I never give 5 stars. This one got 5. I feel like I am still half in that world. I hate that Rothfuss hasn't written the third book yet.

I think it is back in print still. I'm looking forward to Katie reading it too (she's 4th grade now).
Suzanne wrote: "Wow, you're really coming along, Beth! And not afraid to tackle some chunky books, (The Wise Man's Fear) as well. Way to go!"I have a 100 mile each way commute, so I can get through big books fast on audio (especially because I always speed the narration up.
