Name: Laura Taylor (Mostly known as Luke)

Appearance: Laura has green eyes and olive skin. She is 5’3 and has a petite frame. Despite her small figure, she in no way looks like a noble. She has calloused hands and her arms and legs are strong from working. Her hair is usually tangled and when she is working is held back with a circlet made by her younger brother. On the streets though, she ties her hair back and hides it under her hood to hide the fact that she’s a girl. It is dark brown and falls around her shoulders, it is naturally straight and thick. While she is working Laura will wear the standard maid uniform, but on the street she puts on men's clothing. This usually consists of a cream-white shirt and dark trousers with a black cloak. She usually keeps the hood of the cloak up (as previously mentioned)

Personality: Laura just wants the best for everyone, but that doesn’t mean you can take advantage of her. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and won’t hesitate to stop you if she believes what your doing is wrong. She is extremely protective and very honest, unless she feels that she could hurt you by telling the truth. She respects royalty and higher powers when she is around them, but in reality she thinks they are spoiled and selfish. She will almost always give you a second chance, but if you mess that up, regaining her trust is hard. She is also very quick to defend others, as well as herself. She doesn’t take criticism well and gets very defensive at times.

History: Laura was born to a soldier and a servant. She lived in a small village with her parents and her younger brother Ali. Life was not easy in the village, her father was constantly away, and the family hardly ever had enough money, but Laura was happy. When she was 9 Laura’s mother died of an unknown illness, leaving her and her brother mostly alone, since her father was never home. When she turned 11 her father was sent into a battle and never returned. From then on Laura has always wanted to join the army, but when she tried at age 15, the commander had said she was just a girl and wasn’t strong enough. After that Laura promised never to act like a helpless girl ever again. She knew that girls were just as strong as boys, but the rest of the world didn’t believe her, so she started pretending to be a boy. She found that people treated her differently, with more respect and when she told them she wanted to be in the army, they never scoffed at her and told her to go home. Now she is a servant in the castle, and is just waiting for the right time to go to the army. On her spare time, she trains, using old weapons no longer used by the army.
