Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo discussion

Leven thumps lived with his mean aunt and uncle. A furry creature named clover lived on him and a nit named winter found him. He was an offing. They had to get to the portal and get into foo. It took a lot of time but they finally made it.
The setting takes place in modern times. They have modern technology and modern styles. Also in foo the dreams of mad are different and more evil. If it had not been in more modern times the bad in foo would not be there or as bad. If there was not bad in foo than they would never go to foo in the first place.
The conflict is man vs nature. There are nits who have powers like ice, offings that see into the future, and even sycophants who are a nits companion. This affects the story because if there was not magic than there would not be as big of fights and they would not be able to reach foo if it existed. The magical creatures and other things like the candy make the story more interesting.
I really loved this book. It had tons of details that made you feel like you were there. It had things i would have never expected and stayed interesting throughout the entire book. When i read this book it made me want to be there. I love books like this because of all the action and details.
