I read All the Truth That's in Me for my IRL book club. It was not what I was expecting at all. I didn't realize it was historical fiction until I started reading it, which turned me off at first. However, since I like historical fiction, that quickly turned into a plus.
Interestingly enough, I almost DNFd this at 20% because I got sucked into Furiously Happy and wasn't sure if this book was holding my interest. But, I decided to give it another 5% and that 5% turned into another 20% so I kept reading it.
It took me a little bit to get used to the unique writing style. It was a bit slow, but I ended up enjoying the story and I really liked the characters, especially Judith and Lucas.
