Scarlett shuddered, shaking her head. “My roommate said nobody was saying anything. I just hear them in my head... They tell me horrible things. They said you didn’t want me. They told me to do the world a favour and kill myself. I... I don’t try to listen to them, but then they bring up my mom... They tell me she’s dead. They tell me she doesn’t ‘want me either...” She shook her head, backing away from him. “Don’t tell me you won’t judge me. I know this isn’t a new power. I’m going insane, Dean.” She said, her head spinning. She didn’t really know what was even real anymore.

“I just hope you’ll stay with me.” She said, looking up at him with a vulnerable expression. “I haven’t been okay. It’s been happening since you left. It used to happen in the labs before you got there... I think you keep them away.” She told him, wrapping her arms tightly around herself. It felt suddenly cold in the room, despite the heat the fireplace was giving off. Honestly, she really felt like she couldn’t tell anyone about this. The headmaster would probably lock her up in some mentally insane room or something, and it would be just like in the labs.

But she knew she could trust Dean, right? Scar decided she needed to let it sink in, and she didn’t have anything more to say. “I’ll be back after you shower...” She told him, looking up at him before she left the room, going down the hallway to her own shared dorm room. As she stripped off her slightly muddied clothes and got into the shower, all she could think of was Dean. What was he thinking of this? Of his new insane girlfriend? She knew she’d always been crazy, and it scared her. The labs had changed her, and it really scared her a lot of the time. It wasn’t exactly a nice feeling, knowing you were crazy in the head.

E M M A Dean was a bit put off by Scarlett's panicked tales, all the strange things that the voices were saying to his sweet sweet Scarlett. She didnt deserve to be told any of it, and dean found his stomach start to hurt. What was it that was causing it? Scarlett wasnt insane, she couldn't be. Why were there voices? He hook his head slowly, sliding his muddy arms around Scarlett's body. "No, you know none of its true... Scar, maybe you've just been really... I don't know... Paranoid? Maybe you're scared or something', making the voices up in your head, like nightmares," dean suggested, regretting that he didnt shut his mouth. He had better take classes on how to comfort people.

"Of course I'll stay with you! I can't imagine living without you... I'm always here," Dean swore, pinky swearing with his hooked around Sarletts tightly. He smiled faintly knowing that he had made a difference in Scarlett, that he kept those voices at bay. It made him feel a little stronger, a little more worth something. "If they ever come back, and I mean ever, you come over here, okay? I don't care if you wake me up at three in the morning, I'll save you from those horrible noises," Dean promised sweetly, looking down into Scarlett's beautiful eyes with such love and compassion. He'd never known about the voices before, despite living nearly three years at her side.

Dean let Scarlett go off by herself with a bit of longing as soon as she left, leaving him standing in the dim firelight and whatever would shine from the windows. He stripped his clothes and tried to take out the stains in them by soaking them in the sink, then showering quickly to make up for time lost. He scrubbed his elbows, arms, and neck furiously, desperate to get very last but of crusted mud from his skin. His hair he shampooed thoroughly, making sure to not let any suds be left on his skin, before he emerged from the bathroom wearing a towel. He slipped his clothes on quickly before towel drying his hair, all the whole thinking of Scarlett and her voices.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

As soon as Scarlett had rinsed the suds out of her long hair and dried herself off with a towel, she got out of the bathroom to get dressed. She still couldn’t help but worry about what she’d be greeted by when she got back to his room. Would he start treating her differently now that he knew what happened inside her head? Out of all people, she knew that Dean would always be there for her and she trusted him completely. Though he was too nice of a person to not have pity on her for these stupid voices, plus he was to affectionate towards her. He just didn’t know that pity was the last thing she wanted for this.

Wearing an oversized T-Shirt and pyjama pants printed with the Coke-A-Cola symbol, she brushed her hair and made her way back to his room. The small part of her that sought out love and comfort did want pity, which is what left her conflicted sometimes. She wanted to be loved, but at the same time she knew she had to stay strong, for Dean. At the end of the day, she knew she’d give in and just confide in him with every little thing on her mind. But her mind was a dark place, and she didn’t want Dean, who was so near and dear to her heart, to be brought there. As she approached his door, she found herself already longing to be back in his strong embrace.

She loved him, she really did. Dean was the only person she could recall wanting to do anything for, even risk her own life. He was the reason she even got out of bed in the mornings, just the small possibility of seeing him worth the effort. A chill ran down her back, the cool air blowing out from the vents in the hallway causing goosebumps to trail down her arms. This was another thing she loved about him - He was always there to keep her warm. Wether or not he was even trying, he always found a way to warm her physically and emotionally. When did she ever get so lucky? Dean was the best thing that ever happened to her. If she ever lost him, she’d have no meaning in life anymore.

E M M A He had just slipped his shirt over his head before the a soft knock sounded at the door. Deans bare feet trailed on the cold carpet, not affected in short sleeves. His face lit up to see Scarlett, dressed in cozy pajamas. He was just glad to see her again, the thoughts about the voices slipping from his ADHD mind. "Scar! Come on," Dean grinned hildishly, hugging her body tightly before ushering her inside. Though it was nearly lunch and dean was starving, he knew he could find some food in the mini refrigerator the headmaster had allowed him knowing his discomfort of having meals with everyone else.

It was rather dark out, with clods again covering the sky threatening to shake snow from its ominous gray puffs. "Make yourself comfy," dean offered, grabbing a thick blanket from one of the other beds and throwing it behind Scarlett's back, draping it around to the front of her shoukders like a grand cape. "Stay warm, okay? I'll help," dean promised, his brown eyes glowing with orange flecks briefly before the room rose to a toasty level. "Better?" Dean smiled innocently at her, wanting nothing more than for his Scarlett to be healthy and happy.

He motioned for her to sit on his bed, kneeling in his sweats by the mini fridge. Water, a few apples he snagged, a yogurt parfait, two bagels from yesterday's breakfast. He offered the foods to Scarlett, ignoring a wrapped baked potato, a thing of crackers, and homemade chcolate chip cookies in their baggies. After so many weeks of lack of food on the run, Scarlett and dean alike had dropped weight. Scarlett had often snuck her own portions to him during a particularly rough week for him he continuously fainted. Now, it was deans turn to take care of Scarlett as muh as he could, repay her for her kindness, her company. Dean clutched the yogurt, not able to find a spoon; two apples; the two bagels. He hopped ino his bed, grinning at the fct that they could enjoy the luxury of their own rooms with beds and pillows and food. "How're you feeling?" Dean asked timidly, biting into a red apple.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Scarlett accepted one of the apples, having not been able to go down for breakfast this morning. After she’d bitten into it, she decided to lean on Dean for comfort. It had been so long since they’d had nice things like a bed or even windows. Let alone a mini fridge and food of their choice. “I’m feeling better, now that you’re here again.” She admitted softly, clutching the half-eaten apple with both hands. Her head ended up on Dean’s lap, her eyes looking up at him intently. She’d been so worried over these past few weeks, but now all was well once more. She was here with Dean, her love.

After she’d taken another bite from the apple, she decided to pull the blanket around herself a little tighter. Just because she was chilled from her walk through the cool hallways after a shower. “I want to stay with you forever...” She murmured, snuggled up like a child. Scarlett had always had to be so responsible in the labs. She’d been the motherly figure, but now she couldn’t do that anymore. It had taken too much out of her to remain as stable as she possibly could when she was actually fighting a war in her mind. She soon finished the sweet red apple, a bit of the juice dribbling down her chin and onto her neck.

She decided to use her sleeve to wipe it off, sitting up to look around for the trash-can. Once she located it, she aimed and threw her apple core into the waste basket, glad that she’d made it in. A small smile made it’s way to her lips before she settled back down with her head on his lap. The girl honestly felt like she didn’t deserve Dean sometimes, he was too good for her. She hadn’t been trying hard enough to find him these past few weeks, and had only been focusing on how much she needed him. She hadn’t realised how much he’d actually needed her. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowing they really needed each other and loved each other. It felt nice to be loved by someone after so long.

E M M A Dean couldn't help a small smile hearing that Scarlett was feeling better, all because he was there. "That's good, I guess... Eat up," dean encouraged with a squeeze of her shoulder, hugging Scarlett into his chest. They ate their apples in the odd silence, the two of them relaxing in each other's arms. Dean allowed his body to heat up a little more than usual, just so the thick quilts would be warm enough for Scarlett's frail body. His teeth clamped down on the red apple to hold it for a few moments, grinning at Scarlett as the blankets were pulled closer to them, the two huddled against his pillows under the blankets. The apple was gone in a matter of seconds, and soon he had started on his bagel, avoiding making a mess of it all in his lap.

Scarlett lay on him, her long brown locks draped over his legs and tickling his arm. She looked so peaceful, so sweet, her eyes gazing up into his with such love and appreciation, in a way he had never been looked at before. His clean hand raked fingers through the knots in her hair ever so gently, the bagel sitting forgotten on his bed in its little wrapper whil they sat in the silence, enjoying every moment together they had lost. "Then stay with me forever," dean insisted gently, his hazel eyes melting under her stare. Dean had fallen for this girl in the labs, the one who had been like a mother, sister, and a best friend to him in those rough years. Now, she was his girlfriend; now, he coul take care of her like she had done for him.

Dean had fallen for this girl in the labs, the one who had been like a mother, sister, and a best friend to him in those rough years. Now, she was his girlfriend; now, he coul take care of her like she had done for him.

They cuddled and murmured sweet nothing's to each other like any love smitten teenage couple would, until the second class of the day was let out at 12:30. Now it was lunch, and they could anticipate that students would be coming down the dorms to clean themselves up, put their belongings away in their room. Dean had reluctantly let Scarlett go back to her room, after a breathtaking kiss at the door. She left him with instructions on how to find her, and dean shut his door after seeing her disappear around the corner. Dean straightened up his room with a lovesick puppy face, his eyes distant as he couldn't stop think of Scarlett, how she fit in his arms, how she kissed him with those soft pink lips, how she cradled his head to her shoulder when he was upset. She was the perfect girlfriend.

Dean finished off the yogurt and bagel he had left in the fridge, taking Scarlett's absence to advantage and pigging out on everything he had left in the fridge. He'd go to dinner tonight, restock his shelves for another day or two per usual. Just when dean thought the third class bell had rung instead of the warning bell, he darted from his room into the hallways with a specific destination. Sarletts room. He didnt notice that a group of particularly hateful people had been wandering the halls, ditching as well, and followed the eager younger boy to Scarlett's room. Just as he raised a fist to knock on Scarlett's door, a meaty palm grabbed his comparatively skinny shoulder.

"Hello, dean," he snarled, grinning wickedly with those beady eyes of his. His three fellow delinquent buddies mirrored their wicked looks, one of them who he recognized was spider boy. Dean whimpered softly as the hold on his shoulder tightened, the boy dragging him and pushing him forcefully towards the other end of the hallway. "Who're you seein', huh Deanie boy?" The oldest laughed, ruffling his hair rudely and abruptly kicking deans stomach. Hard. Dean grunted, his bck connecting sharply with the wall and causing him to cripple on his hands and knees, gasping for air. It wouldn't come, and dean thought he could pass out with the throbbing in the bck of his head.

The bully's friends began to pin all four of his limbs against a wall between two dorm rooms, Deans inability to think too much or defend himself earning a few more brutal punches by their captain. He refused to make any move to protect himself, only because he knew that if he hurt them, they kill him next time. His head sagged over the carpet, the rest of his body being stabbed against the wall, his chest rising and falling heavily while he recovered. Blood dripped from his nose, his cheek was swelling along with his lip, and he still could hardly breathe. Dean couldn't help it with all the unfair treatment, with all the pain that racked his weak body- tears pooled in his eyes. "Why are you crying? Want me to help you feel better? Or do you want me to go get your... Girlfriend?" The bigger boy grinned mischievously.

Deans heart dropped to his stomach, his head yanking up to glare at the boy furiously. How did he know? How many knew about Scarlett? Now, the boy knew where Scarlett's room was... Would he hurt her? Hit on her? Take her away from him? "You- you stay away, from my girlfriend...!" Dean snapped, snarling with blood in his spit, his hazel eyes glowing with orange flecks as his body began to heat up. He was feeling rather confident for a few moments, before the boys faces clouded over with hate. "Is that a threat, Romano?" He demanded in that deep voice, pinning deans shoulders roughly against the wall. "N-no," dean hardly managed above a whisper. The other boys released him suddenly, causing him to tumble to the floor and land funny on his arm. Dean cried out in pain, until the entire group advanced on him, pummeling his weak frame without mercy. Their eyes were evil, a greedy joy in their shining faces hearing someone scream in pain.

Scarlett had been cleaning up a little in her dorm room, making sure she had everything she’d need for classes tomorrow. She knew she’d end up going, she had to if she didn’t want to let her grades drop. Being the kind of person she was, she couldn’t let that happen. Even if Dean came first in her life, grades came right after. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she stood idly in the middle of the room, looking around to see if anything needed attention. It didn’t seem like it, until she heard a loud rumbling and yelling voices right in front of her door. Her eyes widened, hearing a familiar voice. Her eyes suddenly went a dark red, threatening to burn two holes in the desk that stood in front of her.

She immediately turned and ran up to the door, swinging it open to find that a group of boys was kicking and pummelling her boyfriend. To make it worse, one of the boys stepped away from the abusive group, coming up to stand right in front of her, their bodies pressed together. She was too shocked by the scene she’d come out to see to even react properly, “Hey girl, you shouldn’t be with a little wimp like him. You need a real man.” He said, thinking he was a casanova. Little did he know, Dean was someone she wasn’t letting go of, no matter what. With a swift movement, she sent a left hook into his cheek.

The tanned boy stumbled back, surprised by her punch. “GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!” She screamed, lasers shooting out from her eyes and into the feet of the boy who’d hit on her. The guy who was still recovering from the punch, cried out in pain and started hopping away on one foot. An enraged Scarlett turned to face the group of kids who’d paused their abuse to look at her with fearful eyes. Scarlett advanced on them, before electricity seemed to bounce off the walls and onto everyone except for her and Dean. The girl was blind by her rage, horrified that people had been hurting someone who didn’t deserve it and was completely innocent. Plus, he was her boyfriend. Once they’d all run away, screaming fearfully, she huddled down next to Dean with normal-looking eyes.

“Why? What kind of people would do this?” She murmured, tears welling up in her eyes. It hurt so much to see him in so much pain like this, blood dripping onto his chin. “We’re going to the nurse, I’m not letting this happen again.” She said firmly, getting up. Though she collapsed in the process, screaming and shouting blasting through her ears. You’re useless. You weren’t here for him quick enough. You never are. The voices screamed, causing her to double over in pain. “STOP! PLEASE JUST STOP! Go away!” She cried, resulting to banging her head against the walls of the hallway. The wall was already bloody from Dean’s tussle with the bullies, but were now being spattered with blood that dripped from her nose.

She hadn’t broken it, no, she’d avoided hitting her face when she slammed her head into the wall. It seemed that her nose had started bleeding from all the pressure in her head. The voices were high-pitched, causing her to be in more pain than she’d ever been in. This attack was the worst, none had ever been like this. I thought Dean kept it away. She thought, sobbing in pain as she curled up into a fetus position on the ground. She clutched her hands to her ears, wishing she could just stop the voices and help Dean get to the nurse’s office.

((Sorry that it sucks >.< I was kind’ve rushing :( ))

message 20: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Dean whimpered, shaking now with the sharp pain that was shooting up his bad arm. He heard a shrill voice, one he couldn't be more grateful to hear. It was Scarlett! When he looked up however, one of the boys had pressed up against Scarlett, sandwiching with her against the wall with his hand where it shouldn't have been. Dean was unable to shout, even open his mouth, his eyes widening with heartbreak that he couldn't defend her. Ony when he heard what the boy was saying, dean felt sicker than ever. A real man. Sarlett needed a real man, not some pathetic loser who refused to hurt anyone else because they hurt him. He wasnt a real man, he was hardly a boy. Dean felt like a loser, a weakling. His hazel eyes tore away from Scarlett, unable to meet her eyes if she ever agreed.

A Howl rang through the hallways as he lay flat on his stomach on the carpeting, the smell of burning rubber filling his nostrils. Scarlett had hurt the same kid that advanced on her...! Dean felt a little spring of hope, confident now that his girlfriend was sticking up for him. Her enraged voice pierced his ears as she warned the others, electricity crackling in the air and causing his hair to stick up on end. Bright flashes that made his eyes hurt sparked around them with the sound of the boys' screams fading as thy all scrambled for their lives. The hallway light flickered, a bit of fear filling deans mind only because he had ever been threatened in his life. When it finally stopped and all was quiet again, dean opened his one good eye, the other swollen shut.

Scarlett helped him up, fussing about his abused state crumpled on the floor. He couldn't answer her question, blood trickling nonstop from his nose and mouth without signs of stopping. After taking so many hits to the head, he couldn't really focus anymore, felt even a little dzzy. Only when Scarlett collapsed, began to scream, then start those nosebleeds, only then did dean really wake up out f his stupor just enough to help her. "Th-thcarlet-!" He lipsed, teetering dangerously as his world spun with each footstep. She was smashing er head aginst the wall dangerously, demanding someone to stop. Stop what? Then dean remembered. The voices.

"Thcar, thop, you're gonna hurt yourthelf...! Thcarlet!" He managed to shout at her with what little strength he had, his words jumbled in a mess. His good arm reached out for her shoulder, firmly yanking her back from the wall bloodied from both his and her blood. What a bonding ecoerience, dean thought bitterly. "Whaths wrong...?" Dean breathed heavily, feeling warm blood pool inside his mouth. His eye was turning an assortment of odd colors. He could hardly see anything, and the right hall lights made his head ache. Dean couldn't put his excrutiating pain before Scarlett's, putting aside the fact that his arm was at the wrong angle and his face was swollen in too many places.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Scarlett’s eyes had a wild look to them as she blinked them open to meet his bloodied face. Suddenly reality came crashing back, and the screaming and yelling side her head came to a halt. “N-Nothing! We’re getting you to the nurse now!” She told him, whispers still echoing in her mind. Even if there were still voices in her head, she was putting Dean first, just like he was doing with her. “Come on.” She ordered, gently grabbing his good arm and slinging it over her shoulder. The blood that trickled down her lips and onto her chin didn’t even faze her.

She pulled him along the hallways, acting as a crutch to her love. “Just stop, leave me alone. I don’t want you here!” She whisper-shouted to the voices inside of her head. At least they weren’t screaming anymore so that she could get Dean to a nurse. Though they were still talking to her, leaving her mind spinning in endless circles. The world around was a little blurry, one of her eyes glowing red while the other remained a normal brown. That never happened, and it certainly wasn’t something good. She ignored everything happening to her the best she could, adrenaline blocking out the pain for now.

“We’re getting you patched up, don’t worry, Dean.” She told him, fighting off the voices in her mind. Once they’d finally approached a horrified-looking teacher, she asked him where the nurse’s office was. After some frantic explanation, Scarlett finally got the directions down to the nurse’s headquarters. The teacher had told her that the nurse had healing abilities, and could heal any internal and external wound just by touch. She hadn’t exactly stuck around long enough to catch her name, since she was rushing as fast as she could with Dean leaning on her.

Once they’d finally approached the nurse’s office, she knocked on the wooden door with her free hand. To her surprise, a tall man in a white lab coat with glasses answered the door. It vaguely reminded her of the scientists, bringing the voices on a little louder than they’d been before. “My boyfriend... Beat up... Just help.” She managed, tears strewing down her face, mixing with the blood that dripped from her nose. The man immediately took Dean into his office, setting him onto a long hospital-looking bed with Scarlett’s help. As the man was taking a look at Dean’s wounds, Scarlett sat in a nearby chair. She was rocking back and forth, clutching her knees to her chest as she tried to fend off the vicious monsters that were the voices.

message 22: by E M M A (new)

E M M A Dean could see that Scarlett was struggling with herself internally, here eyes two completely different shades as she whispered to herself to those voices over and over. However, he didnt argue with Scarlett about getting him to the nurses office. He was loosing too much blood, and being a bit unhealthy with his poor eating schedule, dean was in no shape for injuries this extensive. "H-hurry," dean whimpered, feeling his breathing grow ragged and his one good eye begin to fail on him. E was just grateful that Scarlett was basically carrying him in the hall, his limping focused on his right leg. His ankle certaint didnt feel right either, and his stomach and back aching in every spot imaginable.

It wasnt fair, why everyone was so intent on making him miserable. Even as the new kid, it was as if they sensed that he was weak from the beginning, that he had no idea how to fend for himself. Of course, dean had also managed to piss off the biggest bully at the school, along with his spidery friend. Naturally, then, it just made him everyone's favorite punching bag. He never did a single thing wrong, he never fought back, he always left everyone alone. Was it so bad to be different, to want to be left alone? Then there was the possibility of even Scarlett being hurt because she defended him like she did, and dean couldn't help but feel upset. Both with the group, and Scarlett. She couldn't get herself hurt.

Passing by the teacher in the empty hallways had been a blur, but he could feel the woman's pity radiating off her concerned expression he had managed to peek at with one eye. Dean felt increasingly drowsy, his stomach churning and his mouth and nose leaving a trail o bloodied spots the janitor would have to clean up later with his abilities. No doubt, te story of how dean had been too weak to help himself or even make any move to defend himself would get around, and that his girlfriend had had to come in and save his sorry hide. Dean wished e could be a hero, just once.

The nurse welcomed the troubled teens into the white oristine office, using Scarlett's help to lay him on a cot. Dean cried loudly, moaning and inhaling sharply at several occasions in absolute agony. The doctor poked and prodded here and there, his wounds slowly closing up and healing. Dean was back to normal within seconds, but he was just so... So sleepy... He passed out with exhaustion and lack of blood on the cot, his now normal hazel eyes fluttering shut. He nurse turned to Scarlett, looking at her bleeding a Nd shaking form with concern. "He'll be okay, just give him a little while... Let me see what happened to you, and you've gotta explain what happened... This kind of violence isn't acceptable at the academy," the nurse pursed his lips, slipping on a new pair of gloves to tend to Scarlett's.

Scarlett’s mismatched eyes widened as the man approached her. At this point, she was completely absorbed in her mind. Since he looked so much like a scientist from the lab, it made her reject his help even more. “N-No! G-Get away from me!” She said, getting out of the chair so that she could back away from him. Nobody could help with her voices anymore, especially someone who didn’t even know what was happening. How was she even going to explain it to him in the state of mind that she was in? That was when she spotted Dean, laying on the cot while looking normal once more. His chest rose and fell slowly with each deep breath he took. “He’s okay...” She let out a deep sigh of relief.

It seemed like the voices went away as soon as she calmed down, and her nose finally stopped dripping with blood. Her one red eye had gone back to normal as well, her expression slightly dazed and confused. It was almost like everything that had just happened had been a blur, and that she had to struggle to remember any of it. “Um... I’m fine. When is he going to wake up?” She asked, looking around herself and down at the blood on her shirt. Of course, it wasn’t just her own blood. She walked over to Dean’s side, placing a gentle hand on his chest and sliding it down slowly. She could feel the grooves of his ribs, but also the muscle under his skin.

Dean wasn’t completely weak, and she knew that, or else he’d never been able to carry her so many times before. They’d had such a lack of food when they’d been traveling and homeless, that she’d passed out several times and Dean had been forced to carry her. She sighed and glanced up at the male nurse, waiting for his answer. The poor girl didn’t even notice the drying blood on her face, having no idea how insane it made her look. “I’m fine... Really.” She said, but she was really just trying to convince herself that it was true. She’d heard voices for God’s sake! There was no way that she was just ‘fine.’

At least, she wasn’t going to tell him that. She needed to focus on Dean right now, he was her top priority. Taking her hands off of his chest, she sat down in a chair once more. This one was closer to the cot that Dean was sprawled out on, but farther from the nurse who was looking at her like she was crazy. She wasn’t blaming him for the look he was giving her, since it was probably true.

E M M A The nurse had backed away from Scarlett upon hearing er refuse his help at all, alarmed still by the drying blood on her upper lip and chin. Whatever had happened out there, he'd have to leave it to the cameras to tell. The nurse assured the girl with the wild look in her red that her boyfriend would be just fine, meanwhile cleaning up the boys dried blood. Had the boy not come in to him sooner, surely he could have died. Now, he slept peacefully on the cot with no signs of pain, in better, if not the best, condition he could be.

Dean was out, completely exhausted as his body tried to heal from the brutal beating he'd received with the gentle help of the nurse's mutation. Honestly, he probably wouldn't have recovered for weeks if not for Scarlett's care and keeping. She'd always taken such good care of him and that hadn't changed since they'd come to the Academy. It was a reassuring thought, knowing that someone would have his back and he didn't have to go through life alone. It was something that he'd feared would become a reality, but Scar seemed to chase the frightening thoughts away. Though they were quickly replaced by the fear for her safety. If those guys ever laid a hand on her, he knew that he'd never be able to forgive himself. Scar meant everything to him and he couldn't lose her. Ever.

Still in his resting stupor, he thought he felt someone touching him. It was as if he could sense the close proximity of his love and even though it'd only been a few minutes, his weak body started to wake up. He felt warm fingers slip down his chest, but as much as he tried, his Hazel eyes just would not open upon command. Still feeling an overwhelming sense of fatigue, he slowly started wiggling his fingers as consciousness trickled back into him, awakening his frail frame. Just as soon as the soft touch had come, it was gone, and he longed to feel it once more. His love's voice filled his ears as his eyes fluttered open slowly, his fingers curling into fists. She was saying something about being fine. What had happened?

His memories flooded back as the bright lights in the nurse's office burned his weary eyes. Reaching up to cup his face in his hands, he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes. Gathering all of the strength that was left in his body, he sat up with a groan, not from pain, just from being so tired. He'd actually not felt this good and physically well in a while and he was certainly amazed by what the nurse had done for him. It was a gift that he wished he possessed, rather than the destructive force that was his mutation. Fire only burned and destroyed things, just like Tegan had seen in his future.

Brushing the wicked thoughts away, he peeked out from behind his fingers, feeling vulnerable after everything that had happened to him. Letting his hands drop to his lap, his features looked innocent after the power nap that he'd just taken. He had that baby face look that always came over him when he woke up. Yawning and stretching his arms above his head, relieved to find that the fracture was no longer a problem, he gave his girlfriend and the nurse a slight smile. He hopped off of the highly uncomfortable hospital style bed and immediately wrapped Scarlett in a particularly warm embrace. "Are you alright?" He asked, genuinely concerned with her well being. The voices in her head were one thing but the trying to injure herself was another. He might have been able to protect her from other people, but herself...?

Scarlett let out a deep sigh of relief when he got up and wrapped her in a tight embrace, seemingly uninjured. “I’m fine... As long as you’re okay, I’m okay.” She whispered in his ear, her arms sliding around his body to return the loving hug. The whispering in her head had finally stopped, but she still had the dried trickle of blood on her chin and underneath her nose. At the moment, she was far too concerned about Dean to even focus on herself. He was her main priority, as he’d always been since they’d become close. Even back in the labs, she’d done everything she could to make sure he was doing better than she was. At least, she hoped that there were no crazy voices in his head that she didn’t know about. He certainly didn’t need that kind of pain. No, not her Dean.

Pulling back slightly, she cupped his cheeks in her hands so that she could look him in the eyes. “I’m so glad you’re okay...” She told him, shaking her head in disbelief. If the nurse had told her that he could’ve died if she didn’t bring him in soon enough, then she would’ve gone completely berserk. Those jerks would pay, and she’d make sure nobody ever touched Dean again. Leaning forwards, she started to pepper his face and jawline with light and feathery kisses, ignoring the fact that the nurse was looking at her like she was supposed to be in a mental hospital. Which, admittedly, she would’ve have argued with.

“I love you, I love you, I love you...” She trailed over and over, finally pausing her affectionate kisses so that she could press her face into the crook of his neck. He was taller than her but not by a major height difference, so she could easily kiss him when standing if she wanted to. Another relieved sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes, the feeling of his warm body wrapped around her made her much more calm than she could ever have been anywhere else. If Dean hadn’t made it... She’d constantly blame herself for it. It after all was her fault that he’d even gotten injured in the first place. She hadn’t been out there soon enough, and she should’ve known he was going to come by.

Scarlett was the kind of person who always blamed herself for things that could’ve had nothing to do with her. Once, she even blamed herself for a hurricane that occurred on the coast, even if she didn’t even know it had happened until the scientists had told her. She and Dean rarely received news from the outside world when they’d been in the labs, but they had only told them something if they thought they’d caused it or felt like it was extremely important. If she’d had to go through this alone and without Dean, she knew she wouldn’t be here today in his arms. She’d probably have resorted to suicide the moment she’d escaped the labs. Dean kept her alive, he was the very reason she woke up every morning.

E M M A Deans face softened with worry, seeing her nose was still bleeding a bit and her forehead was rather bruised. Himself, on the other hand, appeared to be flawless, not a single scar or annoying zit left behind on his skin. The nurse had cured him completely, every bruise and cut the boys had issued to him. "Your nose... You didnt get it fixed, it's still bleeding Scar," dean mumbled, sweeping his fingers along the frame of her cheek. Regardless, he curled his arms tightly around her waist for warmth, kissing her forehead lovingly. If it wasnt for Scarlett, he probably would have been bleeding to his rather tragic death in that very hallway, his blood splattered on the carpet for all to see. No doubt, his weakness and inability to defend himself would spread throughout the school, even if Scarlett had saved him. The fact that a girl had scared away the bullies single handedly probably had made it even worse.

"I'm fine, nothing even hurts," dean smiled proudly, wanting to see the looks on those boys faces when they saw his full recovery, with Scarlett on his arm. Shed protect him, and dean would do anything to protect her. His girlfriend. Dean bit back a stupid grin and a pink face as her soft lips kissed his cheeks and jaw, goosebumps running along his forearms. He could never get used to how gentle she was with him, how lovingly she had treated him from day one. "Thanks for saving me," Dean managed to murmur in between soft kisses, his eyes closed as he leaned into Scarlett's body with his arms draped around her shoulder. His body had to be heating up.

Dean pressed Scarlett's face into his chest, his fingers tangled in her long brown hair. It had dried since that afternoon, but had a notable damp feel to it. His arms draped across her back rose and fell slowly, and dean rested his chin on her head. "I love you so much... If you hadnt gotten to me..." Dean trailed off, shivering at the thought. Would he be dead? Just critically injured? Would the group drag his body off and leave him outside in the snow? The guesses werent hard to believe, having dealt with the idiots for three weeks now. At least he had Scarlett, the one girl who would treat him right forever, shower him with kisses and affection, and stand by his side always.

((Sorry it's short! I've had bad writers block this past week... I'm leaving for camp until Thursday night! Can you hold off on responding at least to Monday night? I don't mind really where this rp goes))
