Marina (sonnenbarke) I will be reading The Brothers Karamazov so I don't know if I'll have enough time for much else. I hope so, though, there are so many books to read!

message 7: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 16369 comments Esther - I have a copy of Lightless awaiting me. If you get to it, maybe I will join you.

Enjoy it! Don't read it too fast, just enjoy every word of it.

My plans:

1) to finish the complete tales by Hans Christian Andersen
2) to read a book set in India or by an Indian author to complete a challenge in another group and I think I will read The Moor's Last Sigh by Salman Rushdie. I hope to find it at the library.
3) Io non mi chiamo Miriam by Majgull Axelsson (no English translation) if I will have enough time.

Chrissie I just picked up

The Driver's Seat by Muriel Spark
and
Letter from an Unknown Woman and Other Stories by Stefan Zweig

They are short so I think I can stick them in too.

I have not gotten to Ordinary Grace. Good to know you have liked it. Wolf Hall annoyed me.

Beth | 410 comments Esther wrote: "I will be finishing Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore

Then :

Some short stories: Julian: A Christmas Story

I haven't read this but apparently Julian Comstock: A Story of 22nd-Century America is an expansion of this novella. I read the book earlier this year and thought it was brilliant. I'll keep this one in mind to read sometime soon, I think.
