I have a lot of memories regarding that book. I think it was the first racy book I ever read. My mother caught me, read the book while I was at school one day, and was royally pissed. I think I was 11 or 12. LOL

What exactly is a beach read? I'm trying to find something already on my shelves that could fit the prompt, but I don't quite understand it.

Lots of times it is Chick Lit, but I think lots of pop lit and YA can be good Beach Reads, too.
I chose The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman from my TBR List. I just looked up some Lists on Goodreads like this one:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...I can't do Chick Lit but went for an easy to read YA novel.
My pick for this is The Truth About Forever. I love Sarah Dessen books and this is one of the two I have left to read by her.
I think of a beach read as a lighthearted book that stands up to interruptions. As if I was on the beach with noise and fun around me. Everyone’s sense of lighthearted will be different. And feel free to disagree wit my interpretation of this prompt. 😎
I am waiting for the suitable title to turn up when it's time ;p especially since this is not a genre I read often
I read Women of the Dunes by Sarah Maine for this prompt. It's sorta-kinda set on or near a beach....and it has a fairly cozy mystery, a little romance, a tinge of gothic feel to it, and an archaeologist as the main character!
