Carolyn wrote: "Good luck Kiera! Hope you have some good reads :)"Thank you Carolyn. I have so many awesome books begging to be read when I find the time in between writing. ☺️
With this challenge, I will also be trying to focus on finishing the multitude of series I have begun but not finished.
1. The Matchmaker's Playbook
Ian, co-owner of Wingman Inc, a company that has a 100% success rate in matching women to their dream men and transforming them in the process, is sexy, successful and slutty. His number one rule is don’t fall in love with a client. But then his friend, Gabi’s new roomate, Blake enters his life and hires him to attract the attention of her childhood friend, David. But are they as good a match as they think? What happens when Ian breaks the number one rule? Told entirely from Ian’s perspective, The Matchmaker’s Playbook is an hilarious read. 5 stars.
Kylie wrote: "Off to a great start Kiera! And it's an even better result that you enjoyed it so much! :)"Thank you, Kylie.
2. Love My Way
Wow! How do I find the words for this book? The emotions it evokes are so powerful and beautiful. I loved every part of it. Oh, to be loved like Emerson is loved! There is a reason Love My Way is garnering so much attention, but to find out why, you will just have to pick it up and read it. Well done, Kate Sterritt. This book deserves 10 stars!
3. Burn Down the Night
The third instalment in the Everything I Left Unsaid series by Molly O’Keefe follows on from the 2nd book, taking us into the dark and dramatic lives of Joan and Max. I love their personalities and I loved seeing how these two closed off people slowly began to trust one another. It was a sexy and edgy read. 4 Stars.
4. Skins
Skins is a deep, emotional romance between the wife of a Columbia drug lord who feels imprisoned And a fighter known as The Killer aka Sebastian. After a one night stand that changes both their lives, Sebastian comes back into Andrea’s life as her hired bodyguard. Time has not lessened their bond. Their love is proof that true love never dwindles, no matter how far you go, no matter how long you are apart. This is beautiful storytelling by Laura Rossi. 5 Stars.
6. Charming the Outback
This is my first Leesa Bow read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Charming the Outback has vivid descriptions of Broken Hill and the Aussie Outback, which I enjoyed. I haven’t been that far west, but this country girl could relate to a lot of the settings, having spent a lot of time on properties and in country towns myself. I really liked Maddy. Luke annoyed the crap out of me. It was a nice conclusion, though I thought Maddy had better chemistry with someone else in the story. You’ll have to read it to find out what I mean. Well executed 5 Stars.
7. A Fighter's Love
Two sexy fighters who are London natives? Wow, Jenny is one extremely lucky lady! I love their protectiveness of her. This was a fun and sexy story. The only thing that bugged me a little bit was how the story kept saying that Jenny was finally learning to stand on her own two feet, but I don’t feel she did. 4 stars.
8. Cherry Picked
Cherry Picked is a fast, sweet, totally fantastical, insta-love read about Nikki and Chase. One a ballerina, one a brand new hockey player for the Otters. I enjoyed this quick little read from Ms. Mazzola and if you love sweet novellas, then this book is for you. 4 stars.
9. Counterpoints
Counterpoints 1 is the second book I’ve read from Rossi. Unlike Skins, which I adored, I liked this one a little less, but only because of some of the jumping about that occurred in the book. Smoother transitions would have helped this story remarkably and distinct scene break identifiers. The characters were likeable and I enjoyed the slow burn secret relationship between Isabella and Christopher. I will certainly be continuing with the series and unlike others, I ENJOY a good cliffhanger. 4 stars.
10. Oh, Bite Me
I am a big fan of shifter books, and I'm always on the lookout for different ones. With this title in the Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle World, Chris Genovese brings us a little shark shifter lovin'. I love the positive spin that he has put on sharks in this story. It's a fun, quick read about hot insta-love and better yet, is set very close to home. 5 stars.
11. Veil of Darkness
This is a book that is right up my alley. Supernatural action and adventure, an urban fantasy with awesome characters and a touch of humour. It is fast paced and well executed. 5 stars.
12.
Knights of Destruction In the first Soldiers of Destruction book we received an in depth character study of Katica’s past with Wyatt Powell, the love of her life and the things that lead up to her becoming Eve Stone, cyborg super soldier. In this, Knights of Destruction, we move into the present day. This instalment is much more action-packed than the first, which focused more on the love story between the leads. While it is still prevalent here, the major part of the novel explores Katica/Eve’s powers, for want of a better word. The different sides of Eve/Katica come into play and I love seeing these different sides of two very different characters in one body, it’s very much a spilt personality thing happening here.
Wyatt Powell is stoic and powerful— an incredible character in himself.
This is an outstanding series and I look forward to the next instalment. 5 Stars.
13. Storm of Seduction
It’s rare to find a contemporary reverse harem series that isn’t straight up erotica and contains good character and plot development. These things are found in Bea Paige’s Brothers Freed series. I read the first instalment in the Snow and Seduction anthology and quickly continued on with book two. I’m enjoying the dynamics between the characters and love the addition of best friend, Nisha. In this instalment, Louisa moves into the house with the guys after her life is threatened and the close proximity strengthens the bond between Louisa and her three lovers. 4 Stars.
14. Dawn of Love
This was a good conclusion to the Brothers Freed series. I enjoyed this contemporary reverse harem series. The characters were strong and I loved their personalities and I enjoyed the setting of Thailand for their holiday.. 4 Stars.
16. The Secret Life of Cooper Bennett
I love this urban fantasy story, a new take on an American teenaged werewolf. I was drawn into Czermak's world, his descriptions and storytelling is flawless. The characters have incredible depth and I love that most of them blur the line between good and bad. A brilliant read and certainly won't be my last from this author. 5 stars.
17. On Dublin Street
I loved the tension in this book, the back and forth of the main characters was a lot of fun. The characters were all charming in their own way. I felt sorry for Joss and Braden was a swoony book boyfriend with a sexy Scottish accent. The supporting cast were also rich in personality and depth. On Dublin Street kept me turning the pages avidly. 5 Stars.
18. Wild Hearts
This was my first read from Vivian Wood and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Alex was a little grumpy, but had a sexy broodiness to him. Faith was a headstrong lawyer with an old plantation house on an island she’d inherited. Southern charm seeps out of the pages of this book. The characters are fun and compelling. I finished the book in just a couple of days. It honestly gripped me hard and I found it tough to put it down. 5 stars.
19. The Matchmaker's Replacement
This is the perfect conclusion to the Wingmen Inc. duet. It's just as fun and sexy as the first instalment. I loved seeing the real Gabi and the real Lex. Both are not what they seem in the first book. Gabi is sassy, but a little unsure of herself. Lex isn't as much of a villain as he thinks he is and I enjoyed seeing how these two frienemies ended up admitting to their feelings for each other. Seriously awesome duet. 5 stars.
20. Scars: Sequel to Skins
Wow. This book is indescribable. The follow up to Skins is an action-packed, edge of your seat adrenaline rush. We get three POVs in this one: Alejandro, Andrea & Sebastian. All three are gloriously flawed (Alejandro, deliciously evil), they are all pushed to their limits and do anything they need to survive. Ms. Rossi hit this one out of the ballpark. Top stuff. 5 stars.
Been a member for a while, but I,Ve been inactive for quite a while. Good luck on your challenge (similar to mine - 32) :)

21. The Sparrow and The Raven
This was a quick read. I didn't feel any connection to the characters. They were supposed to be raw and gritty, but I didn't feel that at all.
22. The Protector
This is my first read by Jodi Ellen Malpas. I picked it up, because I wanted to read it ahead of the Passionflix film that’s being made. I was not disappointed in the least! Both lead characters are excellent. Camille is a bright young socialite with more brains than the media lets on and Jake is a brooding ex-soldier who is assigned as her bodyguard and has a dark past. The blossoming love story between the two is fun to read about. I give this book 4 stars.
24. Fueled
Oh my goodness. If I thought Driven was good, Fueled was even better! More raw emotions, tension, heat and a bigger emotional rollercoaster than the first book, Fueled takes Rylee & Colton's relationship to an entirely new level. Both of them fuck up in epic ways and makes this book such an exciting read. 5 stars.
25. You and Me
I love this opposites attract, bite sized romance. Both main characters are sassy and sexy and headstrong, which I loved. I also loved how funny it was. 4.5 stars.
26. The Lavender Keeper
This story of a spy, a young French resister and a decorated German soldier involved in a love triangle at the height of the German occupation in WWII is gripping and hauntingly beautiful. 5 stars.
27. Snow and Seduction
I gave this collection 3 stars for its varied stories. SOme were incredible and I found myself seeking out the authors' further works. Others weren't nearly as strong. But overall, this was a sexy, steamy reverse harem anthology.
28. Rogue
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was an interesting insight into the mind of an impulsive gambler and a woman who has a hero complex and the way they make compromises for each other. A sweet, fun read from Jackie Wang, a very talented romance author. 4 stars.
29. Arsen: A Broken Love Story
This story is broken alright, and I loved every minute of it. At different points in the story, I was rooting for each man, and I empathised with the FMC, having been in a similar place emotionally in the past. Though, I felt so sorry for her man, who was a sweet guy. This story kept me turning the pages until the very end, eagerly wanting to see what would happen. 4 stars.
