I saw that too. While I haven't bought a lot from them it's nice to have the choice out there. Soon all that will be left will be Amazon.
I already don't like how the whisper sync books have jumped greatly in price. It used to be affordable to grab the audio if you already had the e-book, now not so much.
I don't like how a lot of my fav authors' prices are getting closer to the $15 - $20 price bracket. They claim it is a price imposed by the publisher and pricier than the paperback editions. Also prices at Book Dep have skyrocketed since Amazon bought them, cause there is very little competition left.
I try but my library doesn't carry very many of my favs. Its a struggle even to get J.D.Robb sometimes let alone pnr/uf stuff.
My library has put up a suggest a title section on line. You can request up to 15 titles a month. I have 3 different cards, so am usually maxing out my requests in all of them. I look at the books I want to read that are coming out in the next month and start to request them. They are pretty good about getting them if they can. What foils me is that often times it's a no due to authors not letting libraries being allowed to purchase them. Sure the authors only get paid once, but their books are out there. Sometimes I can luck out if they put out the books in paperback too, they will buy that one, but it takes longer to get than e-books.
Sounds like you're pretty lucky then. Wish mine would be more open about things like suggestions, even costs money to get a book from one of the other branches, and they never have every book of a series at one branch.

Wow, this sucks. Any fantasy, sci-fi, or horror series you recommend checking out before it closes for good?
Well, Gail Koger's Coletti Warlords (1st 2 unavailable for sale due to legal reasons, but she regularly gives them away on her website) Book #5 actually gives a fair summary of them incorporating the best bits.#3
&
which comes out 12/26/17.She also has a couple of other books on there as well.
I'll have a think about it MorteTorment :)

It is a little scary because big publishers seem to enjoy publishing the same crap over and over.
Some libraries sell out of state library cards. Brooklyn and the Free Library of Philadelphia both sell out of state cards for $50 each. Before I bought one, I looked up books I wanted until I found enough to make it worth paying the price. It didn't take long. If you find just a 4 or 5, you've likely covered the price and you can also get digital audio books. Both of them seem to have quite a stash of erotic romances, m/m and smaller publishing houses as well.

So if you have any books there make sure you've downloaded them before then. Plus they have reward points, so use those if you have them as well.
Looks like it is really hard out in Publisher land and we'll be left with only the biggies before too long :(
